Works awesome, until it threatens to set the house on fire!
So, I am revising my previous five star review. Used to love the thing, but the last few months I've been frustrated. Wished the controls could be more customizable.Tonight, I decided to throw in the towel. Was so excited to come home and make some corned beef for dinner! What I loved about it is that things that take 6-8 hours in a Crock-Pot take less than an hour in the pressure cooker. Not today! Put the corned beef in, it was all garlic powdered and paprika'd up and seared...put the lid on with adequate liquid. Started building steam and then I noticed that it smelled, and the steam was smoke! Saw sparks and ran over to unplug it. The part of the cord that plugs into the cooker had melted and was causing an electrical fire. Not sure of this is a fluke or not, but a fluke that could potentially burn my house down on not one I want in the kitchen.

good news/ bad news.....
good news/ bad news...I bought this about six weeks ago . I 'm going to compare it to the Instant Pot , because I've had both. The good news is that this PC is simpler- which I loved. It was easy for me, a person who always has trouble figuring out a manual- to start cooking immediately because of the simplicity of the buttons. The food tasted fantastic. Whenever asked, they claim that this is a stainless steel pot. Well- the outside of it is. But the inside, which comes in contact with your food- is not. The inner pot is a very lightweight teflon coated pot. I don't want teflon. Would rather have stainless steel. The upper lid appears to be aluminum. Both teflon and aluminum have negative effects on our bodies. In addition, the floating vent ( not the release vent, but the vent inside the handle) fell out after one month's use and no matter how hard my husband and I tried, we could not get it to stay in. So instead of being a pressure cooker, all of the steam was released out of the hole in the handle. The liquid inside thus evaporated. Food burned and the meat got tough. I threw it out a few days ago, got an Instant Pot, which is clearly more solidly made. The inner pot and the inner lid are both made of stainless steel in the Instant Pot. I will say, however, that I do find the Instant Pot more complicated to work. So there you have it, my views of the two pots. I will say this, though. I will never, ever be without an electric pressure cooker from now on because the food tastes so great!

Teflon inner pot shedding. Customer Service not so good! Im throwing it out!
Ok so we bought our 10 QT unit at BBB 4 months ago. The unit was very nice and we were very happy right until the TEFLON COATING started to come off the inner pot. Don't know about you, but I don't want that in my body! Then I was in a chat room with the company and here is the conversation...Needless to say I will be trashing the unit...19:42] Anthony: I have had my 10Qt pot for 4 months and the teflon is peeling[19:42] Thank you for visiting chat! We will be with you shortly.[19:48] Cathy: Please be informed that the inner pot is Stainless Steel with a non-stick Teflon coating.[19:51] Cathy: Are we still connected?[19:53] Anthony: yes[19:53] Cathy: Is there anything else I can assist you with?[19:53] Anthony: well....the coating is coming off...I assume we are eating teflon[19:55] Anthony: Do I have any options..?[19:55] Anthony: Otherwise I will give it away[19:56] Anthony: You have not helped me yet[19:56] Cathy: Please be informed that you need to make sure that the water is enough upon using the Power Pressure Cooker.[19:57] Anthony: WHat are you talking about?[19:57] Anthony: The teflon is coming off the steel pot. Its dangerous and my family is eating the food inside it[19:59] Anthony: You really need to put me with someone that can help me please[20:00] Cathy: I apologize. I do suggest that you may buy a new Power Pressure Cooker please.[20:00] Anthony: Are you kidding me..??? You are crazy. I will be sure to leave this poor customer experience on AMAZON.com

Fail!
I have used this product for one thing only, cooking beans and on the sixth (6) time I used it it would not heat up. No matter what I do it does not work. I contacted the manufacture and they want me to pay 25 bones to ship it to them to see if it can be repaired and another 25 dollars to ship it back to me.. Why would I do that for a defective piece of equipment?? 60 day warranty on defects, You should run, shame on me for not researching this first..4 Star when it worked2 Star on your warranty on workmanship..

This product will eventually fail. Buy any other brand.
This is the second power pressure cooker I’ve boight and they both broke in the same strange ways. We were meticulous in taking care of these things and then they just stop working... I assume some electrical problem. With the first one I pushed the issue with the scam made for tv company and they began to call me a lot to try to make me happy and to rescind reviews promising to fix the issue. I was even told that the first one we owned broke due to what seemed to them to be a design issue and not a user issue. I rescinded my complaints and expected them to live up to their promise of replacing the unit but I then got a call telling them that someone was mistaken on their end and they would gladly look at the device for 60 dollars shipping and if defective we would need to pay shipping for another unit.... ends up being more than the unit cost. I was dumb and bought another one because we love using pressure cookers to make great meals when we are busy as a family. We were thinking since there were minor upgrades made to it that we might just not have the same issues again... unfortunately we were wrong and I wish amazon would pull this product because of the well documented predatory practices of the parent company for this device. We will end up getting another pressure cooker when we can but will go with the Instant Pot next time. Consider strongly any other pressure cooker brand and don’t trust this company if they make promises so you will take down bad reviews.
