SAMSON RS110a Active Speaker

Great amplifier. This is the 2nd one I’ve purchased. The first was a Samson 12” powered PA. Great sound and lots of great features. It’s nice that you can slave multiple speakers together. Amazing price too. $100 less than the box music stores. Update - I have purchased two more 15" PAs. My band uses these for our PA speakers and they're killer. The way they link to together is great and they all hook into the mixing board without issue. I love these Samson Powered PAs. For the price you can't beat them. We have yet to have any issues with these speakers. We use four 15" for our primary PAs and two 12" for monitors. Perfect.

Works great! What we expected.

I'm very happy with these. That's not to say that they don't have their idiosyncrasies. The bluetooth volume is low. You can crank up the volume on the device and speaker and just barely trigger the green signal light. It would also be great if you could use the usb port for a memory stick, but it only works with the Samson wireless mic system. All these issues can be solved by running the speakers off of a small mixer that has bluetooth and usb. Using a mixer also allows you to do some signal eq, which helps fine tune the sound. If I had to do it all over again, I may have gone with the 12", since the price difference is minimal.

I use it as a monitor for gigs with my blues rock n roll band. We run it from the PA to hear vocals. I use a splitter cable, 2 to 1, so both channels are used on the monitor. We sometimes daisy chain to another monitor via the XLR connection. The monitor is a bit heavy but cranks. It is also a Bluetooth speaker. It could double as an amplifier too although I haven't tried that. Regardless, great monitor.

1) First & foremost, they do NOT even have wheels for such heavy equipment. 2) Handles are NOT handy; they are crap; you can NOT hold it at all. Worse design. carrying these speakers is a nightmare. 4) The WORSE design is for the tripod hole; not even 3 inches so you can NOT mount the speakers on tripod . Tripod will NOT hold such massive speakers; if it falls down; it can lead to the accident. Just do NOT buy it .

I have two stage right 15 inch monitors and I compared them and the stage right blue them away they break up super easy I replace the horns with a higher wattage horn and seem to help a little bit

I bought this speaker to add to my existing speakers system to use at home for karaoke and hope it will give me more bass because it's 15" speaker. It's meeting my expectation, bass sound very good, Samson built is quality product, I'm thinking to get the second one. You might not find a lot of review about this speaker but for home use I think its performance is excellent.
