Can you use normal washing powder on this item if you are washing it on a delicate cycle in the washing machine?

Yes you can wash it in a cool wash with no problem at all

My mum has worn it once and it’s now got a hole in where the seem has come apart please can I get a replacement

Is this xxl because I have one and it's to tight.

I bought it for my wrists, I have carpal tunnel now in both hands, I am a small lady & it fitted with lots of spare room, but I cannot help you with this as men have larger wrists than women, but they are so very very supportive &easy to wash, just make sure you take out the .eta! & bone splints first.
