Destroys Algae
This product is an Algaecide which will kill any algae in your aquarium thus giving your plants an edge allowing them to thrive, this isn't a replacement for c02 injection.Unfortunately for me this also killed a whole school of Emperor Tetra (11) and a German Ram, both species of fish are very sensitive to water chemistry changes and this obviously tipped the balance. I would recommend halving the recommended dose for at least a month and maybe only then upping if required. As an Algaecide this product completely wiped out any algae I had, which included brown diatom algae which is why I give this 5 stars as it does do its job. I just wish I had used a smaller dose than recommended and possibly saved my fish, in fact I will probably never use again unless I stumble across a very bad algae outbreak. Please do your research before using any unnatural product in your aquarium.

It’s certainly worth a trial
Last update. I’ve added photos and you can see the Amazon sword leafs have doubled in size. I have pulled out a lot of vegetation at the front to try and get some low growing grasses to thrive. I would say worth a try as it has helped my plants grow bigger. Additionally I have tropical aquarium soil as the bottom layer of my substrate.Update 3. At 100% of dose, I took a month to up the dosage to the full amount. Plants are greener and growing bigger than before. No algae on new leaves but there’s still algae on the tank glass.Update 2. Upped the dose rate to 90%. Plants looking greener with no algae growing on new leaves. Still algae in the tank. No more fish issues.Update. No more fish lost. Plants looking a bit greener. Up to 50% recommended dose rateRather than setting up expensive CO2 systems I thought id give this a try. Started off dosing at a quarter of suggested rate and I am planning on building it up to the required dose rate over a month. After starting dosing this I have lost 2 fish, they were mature fish and neither showed signs of stress. Will keep dosing for another week and see what happens, will update review then

No harm to fish but the jury is out...
Have been using for a month with easy to care for plants (java fern, java moss, anubis, vallis) but if I'm honest can't really see a noticeable difference. I have used profito from the same company for years and the difference that made was instantly noticeable, hence my continued use. I thought that adding liquid carbon would be the next step up (my plants do well but not as amazing as you see with co2) while avoiding co2 injection. It must be said that I have a lot of surface agitation which may speed up the dispertion of the carbon. I do love plants but feel that adding co2 is sort of against the grain of having fab gas transfer to ensure that your fish have plenty of dissolved oxygen. I would say, first step you should take is using profito if you are wanting more success with plants. Apologies to easy life but this is my experience.

Works Brilliantly!
This is my second purchase of Easy Carbo (that in itself should be testament to its efficiency!)I use this in my 50L tank which contains lots of slow growing plants which tend to suffer from bba. This is mainly due to a combination of hard water and a sandy substrate. The liquid carbon not only enhanced the growth of plants but also makes for a very effective algaecide too!The reason why this was only given 3 stars for ease of use is because you must be extremely careful not to overdose. The instructions though, are perfectly clear and concise.

Finally can grow live plants and keeps algae away.
Was struggling to grow any plants for prolonged period except moss but with the daily carbon dose (easier than keeping a pressurised or DIY carbon and works out the same cost for small tank), can actually grow dwarf hair grass now and also my floaters are growing like mad. The plants are also sending off runners really quickly and are much greener too. As a side effect the encouraged fast growth is keeping the algae at bay and tank cleaning is much less work.
