second set that didn't work for me. First set ...
second set that didn't work for me. First set was the red one, the front cap on all the rigs do not tighten down enough to hold the line from creep. The rubber insert needs to be more retentive. Tried the whole weekend with ballyhoo and stopped after multiple attempts. Bought the Gen 3 and had similar problems.

Awesome rig for dead bait. Bring the bait alive with this setup!
In combination with the N3 rig, this setup will guaranteed that your bait swim straight at any trolling speed. I was in disbelief when I first used them. Awesome stuff.

Nitta rig is awesome IF you have the harness
Nitta rig is awesome IF you have the harness, bands, compression fittings and bait bands to make the rig work. The R3 Front Rig does not come with any of the necessities to make the rig work. Amazon charges $7.95 to return this item. You can purchase this item COMPLETE in any tackle shop for $18.95!!!!

Genius rig!
Trolling in Hawaii. These rigs are legit. GREAT quality, Top bitch customer service. And the rig catches fish. You need to know how to rig them PROPERLY though. There’s sinker attachments and triangle attachments that drastically change the action depending on your speed of troll and the size/species you’re using. Ask Nitta for a diagram on rigging combinations. Captain Chads Charter Hawaii use these on every trip.

This rig works great
When combined with the N3 harness, this setup brings the dead back to life.Baits look like they're actually swimming through the water. I've caught ono, mahimahi and barracuda with this. While that may not sound impressive, what it really means is that if a lousy fisherman like me can catch fish with this, it must work pretty darn good!Although it can run baits at trolling speeds of 8 knots, I tend to drag them at 5 knots. This means my fuel consumption is cut in half while my catch rate goes up. I put a three-ounce weight at the front of the monofilament leader (about 5 feet ahead of the bait) and that gets them a bit deeper into the water.I set up 8 of these before heading out so they're ready to deploy, along with immediate replacements when fish strike.I also run a trailing hook with a titanium leader using AFW's 75-pound 7-strand wire and #3 crimps.
