Solar Shield Fits-OverSunglasses - SS Polycarbonate II Crystal / SOLAR SHIELD II CLEAR POLYCARBONATE LENSES

I ordered the clear version after having an excellent experience with the dark ones I wore during the summer months. I have a severe case of dry eyes and the protection I get against heated air inside home and buildings and wind and cold air outside is the difference between being completely comfortable while wearing the glasses versus being generally uncomfortable without them. They are a very good fit for me, comfortably worn during all my waking hours. I don't know yet how long they will last before I will need to order another pair due to scratches on the lenses. But the price is right. Of course they are not flattering to wear, look cheap, but at my age, comfort is what I care about.

Works fairly well

I purchased these to wear over my regular glasses (they fit well over them), but I normally wear them without my other glasses. Even though they are not rated as OSHA safety glasses, they work great for me. I wear them when doing yard work (string whip, edging, etc.) and they have protected my eyes a few times from dirt and rocks flung back at me from my edger. They are clear, not blurry (like other true safety glasses), and work well for me as eye protection.

I just received these. They come with a tag that specifically says they are NOT polarized. I wanted polarized. They aren't bad clear lenses, but I need polarization.

it was so hard to find polarized clear lenses. these are made specifically to fit over prescription glasses, so you don't have to swap them out (especially since you can't get clear prescription polarized lenses). they work great even over crizal lenses, which are supposed to cut glare, but they don't really. at least not daytime glare.i live in forida where if the sun isn't blazing, it still sends rays through the clouds, so driving can be a real headache. they even help if you are not driving into direct sunlight but the rest of the world is very bright. it just seemed that an $8.99 shipping cost was a bit excessive for such a lighweight item, but you couldn't get something like this elsewhere for $10

I love these glasses so much, I now have 3 pair. I have severely dry eyes and with there's glasses over the top of my prescription glasses, it blocks around and moving air very well. The only time it doesn't do as well is if the wind blows hard from the side of my face. I wish the frame went just as deep but not as wide.

Described as polarized, however, it has a tag attached to it that reads 'NON POLARIZED". Clearly, misleading. Waste of time repackaging and returning.

I have a very dry eye condition which is exacerbated by air conditioning. I am going to a two-day seminar in April and will be testing them out. I saw another women wearing them in a class. I am filled with hope. The fit is nice. I have Solar Shield dark glass which fit over my specs, which I love.
