I broke our old pool valve cover when stepped on it. It was the original that had been on the ground since the pool was installed and was very brittle to begin with.I went to the local pool store and none the ones they had fit. The issue was that they were 10 in diameter overall, but the inner mounting lip was 8 1/2 inches or more. The mounting lip on the old cover was 8 inches exactly. So I scoured the internet/amazon and found this lid. I believe the description for this item says the inner lip is 8-1/8 and it fit perfectly. This replacement cover is also very sturdy. Can imagine it’ll last for years.There was a small hiccup with the shipping but the seller reached out to me right away and got the problem resolved immediately. The package arrived the next day. I am extremely satisfied. Don’t hesitate to order.

Fit perfectly, but very snuggly in mine. Hard to pull out, but it does pull out. I used it over my auto-fill valve, so that’s a non-issue. My open that once per year. Fits at at the outer ring and the inner ring. Seems tough and durable. It has a gloss finish, but isn’t slippery as it has a bunch of fine ridges. I imagine the gloss look will soften in the sun. Very happy overall.

This lid fit good on old float pit

We had an older pool filler valve from this manufacturer, and local pool store did not carry this cover, so took a chance on this one from Amazon. Minus one stare -- the exact size was not stated on the product page, Sorry I've moved and can't re-measure and post here. Snug fit and seems very strong. You can definitely walk on it with nor worries.
