Q: compatible with aerogarden pods?

Aerogarden pods DO NOT fit well in my IDOO unit. They stick up and out of the unit as the basket is too large to fit neatly in the unit. I have had VERY poor success with Aerogarden pods in this unit but I have good success in an Aerogarden with their pods. I do not recommend this unit if you are planning to use Aerogarden pods.

Q: Are there specific types of seeds or plants that are recommended for use with the kit?

From all my research, it looks like any seeds will work but get good quality ones. You can also buy aero garden pods according to other reviews that might work

Q: How long is the power cord?

Power cord is about four feet. Mine was right at 49 inches.

Q: Is this unit capable of running the lights continusly (i.e. 24 hours a day), and if so, how many day in a row?

There are three light/illumination cycles. The options are 14/10, 12/12, and 16/8. The first number is the amount of time the light is on. In order to by pass this you would need to reset for the desired cycle when one cycle completes. I word this you would want to give the lights a rest like any lightbulb to prevent burn out.
