Cresimo Thermal Carafe Replacement Lid

Big weakness with this Carafe is the LID. When I first started using this item I identified the lid and particularly the Lever on the lid as a possible weakness-and indeed after around 4 months usage the lever mechanism broke-somehow became disengaged inside the cap.I could not see any way to open the cap to perhaps re-attach.So I bought a relacement lid-fortunately the right one-there are two that look very similar and some reviewers have made that mistake. However it looke identical to the original and does fit- BUT-it is somehow wrongly assembled....somethings wrong. The original- which I still have -closed with the Lever level with handle-and u held the lever down to pour.The replacement locks at " a quarter past" and must be swung around anti-clockwise to the handle to pour. I stress-that visually it looks identical to the original-but- either wrongly assembled or threaded...I really don't know. I decided to keep it rather then go through the hassle of return .It is a shame because this Carafe does work -but-that lid is a big weakness. So on that basis I would not buy this Carafe again.

Even though it was advertised as the one to fit the carafe it wasn't returned and bought new carafe

The replacement lid doesn't align properly with the flask screw top so although it technically fits, the bit you press down to release the water no longer sits flush with the neck of the flask and your thumb like the original lid therefore I now need both hands to pour the hot water. out - which is a trickle. So frustrating! Better of with a new flask!!

The lid doesn’t fix with my 2L Cresimo thermal Carafe. Left hand side is the old lid while the right hand side is the one I received. Apparently the length of the new lid is shorter. Looking for a new lid to replace the broken old one, It’s disappointing that the replacement lid from Cresimo doesn’t fix its own 2L thermal Carafe and I might need to bin the whole thermal jug which is a waste.
