fun game but crashes a lot
If you like Diablo, Dungeon Seige, Champions of Norah, Baluders Gate, ect, then you'd like this game. But for some reason, the game crashes a lot. The screen has frozen on me many times, and for the first time the game just shut off bringing me to my desktop screen. I have a decent computer, GE Force 9800 video card, HT Omega Striker 7.1 sound card, and a P4 3.2 Ghz, and 1.5 RAM, and I have 85 GB of free space. The game requires you to have the following specs: P4 2GHz, 1GB ram, 5 GB hard space, a sound card that is Direct X compatible, and a video card found on their website: [...]. My video card is def much newer and much more expensive then the card they state, maybe that is my problem, but I doubt it. Anyway, good luck!

A generic but addictive isometric action RPG
Developed by Master Creating and published in 2008 by DTP/THQ, "Legend: Hand of God" is an isometric action role playing game set in the fantasy world of Aris. The player assumes the role of Targon, a young monk protector, who has to find a powerful artifact simply called the Hand of God in order to prevent a demon army from destroying his world. Here are my thoughts on Legend: Hand of God; Pros + Randomized dungeons. + Addictive gameplay. + Graphics are nice and crisp. Armor, weapons and environments are exceptionally well detailed. + Overwhelming amounts of impressive random loot. + Fantastically foreboding soundtrack by Dynamedion's Tilman Sillescu, Alexander Röder, Alexander Pfeffer, Pierre Langer and Markus Schmidt. Honestly, this is one of the finest scores I've heard in a fantasy game. + Various environment layouts (forests, snowy mountains, swamps, plains, deserts etc.) + Maps are completely blacked out (think Baldur's Gate) until you explore the area making it easy to remember where you've been. + Luna's light source is useful in dungeons and draws no aggro from mobs. + Can respec (change) all skills (not base classes) at any time for a nominal cost. This is great if you choose a skill that ends up being lackluster or doesn't fit your build. + All bosses respawn when game is loaded making farming for upgrades or rare drops easier. + Some humorous dialogue as your character is a bit of a smart a$$. + Items don't wear out or degrade resulting in not having to waste money on repairs. + Simple, fluid and varied combat animations. + After finishing the game you can start over again with all items and appropriately scaled enemies. + 5 Path professions to choose from, of which you choose two. This creates a unique hybrid character (Similar to Guild Wars or Titan Quest). The Paths are Warrior, Villain, Magic, Wilderness and Faith. Some final class examples include Paladin, Arcane Archer, Ranger, Archmage, Assassin, Battle Monk/Mage etc. + Close up view of your character in your inventory screen allows you to see and choose everything you equip. + Portal Runes allows you to teleport to the last obelisk from anywhere in the game and then back again. Cons <Contains SPOILERS> - No LAN or Online co-op mode. - Can be difficult to get to run on both Windows XP and 7 due to buggy PhysX. This involved quite a bit of online troubleshooting. - Mobs don't scale with your level. - Larger dungeons of 3-4 levels only had save obelisks at the entrance and end of the dungeon. Navigating through one level of a dungeon can take upwards of an hour, to expect the player to wade through 3 levels without saving is unrealistic and annoying. - Both outdoor and indoor layouts can start to feel repetitive in their build design. - Buggy and can crash frequently causing you to lose your progress up to the last save point. - Often unable to use skills/heals if you're standing over an item on the ground. This becomes problematic in large fights where plenty of items drop at your feet. - No day, night or weather cycles. - No cool down indicator on skills. - Poison spitting and frost breath using enemies are incredibly overpowered often resulting in near instant death before you can react. - Luna the Light Elf (faerie) is terribly annoying and repetitive. - Poor voice acting with most dialogue being read flat and verbatim. - Enemies can always see you approaching from behind no matter what. - Can't rotate the camera, only allowed to zoom in and out. - Some outdoor areas were much too large. The elven swamp was a perfect example as you can spend hours just trying to explore and clear it. - No tutorial. - Save points are limited to obelisk locations. Anything in between those points is at risk of being lost in a random crash. - The Serpent Temple was incredibly laggy. - Some graphical glitches can occur on your character. As an example I once had boots that after equipped appeared around my waist. My hands, feet and legs completely disappeared a few times as well. - Finishing/kill animations prevent you from using any skills until the sequence ends. This can sometimes be problematic if you're low on health and there are still mobs left. - Can only have two active skills loaded at a time. - Constant enemy knockdowns can get old. - Game has frequent 3-5 second freezes while the adjacent area you're entering loads. "Legend: Hand of God" was a highly addictive and fun run-of-the-mill fantasy action RPG. Unfortunately, along with that enjoyment came quite a few bugs, some frustration and an overall lack of polish. My character build was a "Battle Monk" which consisted of combining the Villain and Faith Paths and I ended the game at L33. I will admit that when I finished the game and was given the option for a second play through with all current gear, I was tempted. However, after approximately 25+ hours of gameplay I decided that (even with the allure of new and undiscovered loot) once was enough. Legend is not a bad game by any means, but it's definitely meant more for patient hardcore hack, slash and loot players. But, for the current price tag you can't really object for what you get. In the end I'd give Legend: Hand of God 3.5 stars.

Great PC game for when you don't want to be on line. Fun to play and figure out where the bad mobs are at or when they are going to attack. Fun to play. :D

If your looking for a good hack & slash rpg game, you won't find it here.
I just uninstalled Legend HG an hour after I installed it. The game requires a super high end machine to play, I can play Titan Quest on my machine but I can't play this. The mouse cursor is impossible to control even if you turn off all the graphic setting to low. If you haven't played Diablo, Fate or Titan Quest get those games, they're fun and run fine.

Will not run on Windows 7 64-bit...
Inexpensive but not even a good paperweight if you cannot use it. I will try it on XP 32-bit soon and update...

Worth playing
This game is worth playing. I had some trouble getting it to work originally but once I got that figured out I was addicted. The addiction wore off fairly quickly because it's basically a linear story without much role playing. Basically you're a guy whose home is burned down - destroyed by bad guys so you set out after them to retrieve a very powerful relic that will close the gate that the demons are entering the world through. Of course once you get all the pieces of the relic you find out that your mentor is actually the bad guy. The voice acting really sucks on this one and the story is so generic it's not even amusing. The play was still fun though, despite all that.
