A small tacklebox necessity
I bought this item to put in my tacklebox. Though compact and small, I found it to be quite useful for the purposes I got it. For one thing I don't want to carry a lot of stuff because I usually hike in to my spots. I carry only the necessities in a small plastic case. This multi tool is just right for this. It can unjam fishing line, it can cut line, it can hold a hook for sharpening or for tying a fly, and it can help loosen the hook from the fishes mouth. The Phillips screwdriver is just the right size for quick adjustments to my reels. The knife (with a little honing) is very sharp and holds it's edge. I don't use the other tools much, but I don't see why they could not be used. Yes, this multi tool is very small, but that is precisely it's value to me. I wouldn't buy a sledge to put a nail in the wall, so why buy a big Leatherman when you have small size jobs?

Small, Classy, Useful - Recommended
The "Winchester 22-01347" is a very small, but very useful multi-tool. It's small size hides a wide selection of surprisingly practical and well made tools. The wood accents add a small measure of class, so pulling it out in an office doesn't cause a lot of alarm (unlike whipping out a huge Leatherman might :-)This goes on sale fairly often and can be gotten for well under the list price. It is a good bargain for a well made tool.Recommended!

Tiny and hard to open
I got this today and was surprised how small it was. Closed, it is only 2.5 inches long, by 1.25 inches wide. Also, it is really difficult to open the tools in the handle. I feel like my nail is going to rip off trying to pull them out. Hopefully this will get better over time. The wood is nice, but I wish I spent more money on a higher quality product.

Could be better, could be worse.
Item was received in good retail packaging and is as described, I just expected it to be a little larger and have finished wood grips. Item is smaller than I expected, but that is more my fault, however, the one I received did not have shaped and polished wood as pictured. Mine has grips that have been cut, sanded and stained but that is it. Also, the nylon sheath it came with ripped with first use. At least it is small enough to carry in my pocket. Otherwise the tool does work, I just expected more.

NOT accurate, looks a lot cheaper than shown in the photo.
The wood in the PICTURE is beautiful. Based on that $8 would be a bargain. But the picture isn't what I got. The wood is just flat, not contoured. It's not stained and sealed that beautiful red. It is a dark brown, dull plain wood finish. The metal doesn't "blend" into the wood like in the picture. The wood covers the whole sides. It's clearly just a little stamped piece of thin wood. Just cosmetic I guess... which probably means the whole thing is either thicker than it needs to be, or is weaker than it could be if it were all metal. The functional tool part does seam to be more true to the provided photo, but I didn't open the package, so I can't review the quality. It's going right back.I'd save yourself the trouble until they update the pic. I'll see if I can upload a pic.I bet it's useful if you want a cheap little tool to have on you and you aren't concerned about it looking cheap.1 star for false advertising. Could be that the tool functions though, in which case it could be an alright deal 4 stars for utility on the cheap.

good for the tackle box
I got this as a gift for my 10 year old nephew who loves to go fishing. He needed some help getting the hooks out of the fish and this works great with his little hands. It fits nicely in his tackle box and the wood grain makes it look really nice. I am sure he will out grow it or end up dropping it in the lake but for the price i can afford to buy him another one later.

Solid Multi-Tool
This multi-tool is probably smaller than what you might think. It's actually the smallest multi-tool I've seen - which could be a plus or minus depending on your usage. However, it's well constructed and has all the needed standard tools you would need for small jobs. We used this item as a graduation gift for HS graduates. Perfect item for dorm room needs. The carrying case that comes with the tool is perfect and adds a nice touch if giving as a gift.

This is a small, inexpensive, effective tool.
I use this little item to make repairs at the homeless shelter (where I work). I am not bringing an expensive multi-tool anywhere near the population I serve. I don't want to be a target, and expensive items disappear here. Since I need to make temporary repairs often, I needed something simple and flexible. This fit the bill nicely.
