Works perfect, easy to clean.
Have one on each of the returns on my aquarium. I have not had to clean, but I am sure eventually i will, and these make it easy. Being clear also lets you inspect without disassembly.

clear plastic check valve
Wanted to use it in an A/C condensate line in a 2 story condo to prevent backup in the 1st floor A/C unit in case of blockage at ground level. It will NOT work in the vertical position because the check does not float. It should work in a pressure line. It will work in the horizontal position as a swing check. It appears to be well made and can be disassembled for cleaning.

Perfect for saltwater aquarium
I bought this in hopes of gaining pressure lost through a traditional spring style valve and I would highly recommend it . I can now run my return pump at half the speed and have the same volume output.

Check valves
Needed these for an 8ft salt water tank . The check valves work excellent

Not great for very low pressure, but should be fine for higher pressure
Not sure if they were intended for super low pressure, like water simply trickling along the hose, more or less gravity fed. This just is not great for that kind of application, in case anyone is wondering. The valve just needs a tad more pressure to close and I am sure it's great for that, so purchase according to your need.
