I know PCs inside and out but am a newbie with Apple. I had to call the vendor to figure out how to use this adapter. I am positive my questions were silly and the solution was obvious but I was just not familiar enough to figure it out. The tech was super patient with me and never got flustered. He very calmly walked me through it's use and basically taught me a little about IPADs. Do not feel stupid, you are not alone they have heard it all before.

So i was hesitant to buy since products now have to be "manufactured for iOS" to work. I hook this up with my guitar/effects processor and works perfectly with garageband. Had issues at first but that's because I'm new to garageband, nothing to do with the adapter. I bought one for my dad too so he can also use garageband on his iPad. Very happy!

Once I copied a xxxx.MOV from my Iphone on to Flash drive and take it to my PC it does not play. It says file corrupted and nothing happens. Also, not only it copied the video from the Iphone but it creates a folder with lots of files. Does not say what is this folder for? I Bought another one from another source it does the same thing.

Does exactly what it should. Used to save my family photos and videos. Speed is limited by USB connection but I can deal with that.

I store a lot of info on flash drives and am able to easily pull them up on my I Pad. Love the convenience.

Nobody or no comment was there to guide me on this product all the comment seemed either fake or like just for the sake of it I don't want others to be conflicted like how I wasMucisians :Everywhere I looked they advised to getbthe original Apple Camera usb adapter but because of lockdown and shipment delays even the original Apple dealers in india didn't have this product , US Apple store have it though. Anyways so that was the reason I had to go for this becaue I needed to work on Grage band ASAP, when I bought this I was scared for that this won't work , to my surprise it works very well I connect my MIDI interface Arturia minilab with behringer audio interface connected to Mic and guitar. I use USB hub for connecting all this. If the original Apple usb 3 is available go for that if not then go for this, this works, atleast till now it's working been a month I guess

Doesn't work with ipad, tried using usb drive even with device charging but no luck will keep giving "device requires too much power error". However this does seem to work with the iPhone 12 unfortunately not the reason I bought it for hence I have returned the product for refund

Just makes things easier to move data to and from iphone when required without jumping through hoops for Apple.

item does not work with Ipad.. tried 3 different Ipads..same result...useless for that purpose...
