SATA to USB 3.0 Adapter for 2.5" 3.5" SSD HDD Hard Drive Reader 5Gbps

I have a Vantec SATA/IDE to USB 2.O adapter. Tried using it with my new HP laptop computer. Couldn't get any of my drives to connect. I always thought USB 2.0 was backward compatible with 3.0. It must not be. I purchased this converter and it works great!! I was able to access a regular hard disk drive and a SSD drive. This product connects with the drives and responds perfectly. A great purchase! My other adapter is now in the recycle bin. :-) Thank you.

Works great with SSD connected to Wii, didn't even need the power supply with it for that purpose, but nice to have anyways. Connected up to my laptop and immediately formatted and transferred files. 30mbps was the top speed I got but it's an old laptop and I was transferring from an external hard drive. So mileage may vary.

Worked as advertised, simple to use.

I bought this to get data off of an old hard drive from a desktop computer. It works really well for what I need it for. I'm not sure why I'm digging through files that I haven't looked at in 20 years and wasting my time deciding if I should keep them or not, but that's a different story.

Works great i use every time i have to back up pictures or any other files on my external hard drive not problems of data transfer at all works really fast

This worked excellently for plugging in some older SATA drives and finding thought lost photos and data. This now allows for the the transfer of precious data onto an SSD. With the added external power, there is no issue spinning up some of those old drives. Also, simply disconnect the power for smaller SSD or SATA drives and it works the same.I do have to say that on my iMAC the system found a couple old drives that when using it on Windows the system just didn't see. Probably an OS thing.It did work on other drives on Windows. Just one or two drives Windows couldn't resolve, came right up in MAC. Not a review of either OS just a fact of my experience.This device works very well, it a wonderful tool to repurpose those older drives and preserve memories.

Excellent ! Viewed multiple hard drives from old PC's , plug and play- zero issues. Make sure you get an adapter with the power supply which is needed for spinning hard drives.

Bought this to transfer files from my old hard drive to my new computer and it worked perfectly, the old hard drive came out of a desktop so it needed the connector that plugs in to the wall to power it on. Well worth the price, shipped quickly and transferred files in a timely manner.

I received a damaged product that was not working when delivered. I immediately raised a return request, and a pickup date was assigned. However, on the scheduled date, no pickup was attempted. Instead, I received an email stating that the return request had been cancelled by me, which is incorrect as I never cancelled the return request.This has caused significant inconvenience. I request that the return request be reinstated immediately and that the damaged product be picked up as soon as possible. This covertor is a scamThis is a scam the product comes with a 5v adapter does not work with ssd and 3.5 " hdd its a scam don't buy this product. 1000 buks for this product and it takes 10 days to get delivered and find out that it wont work and you cant get a refund and we have to be hopeful that the replacement will work this absurd. At least the seller should have the decency to check if the adapter is correct and it works before sending , absolutely bad quality control.
