Viper 58” Pool Cue
My biggest concern ordering a cue online was the inability to physically check straightness of the cue before buying. But, I purchased it anyhow due to the fair pricing. I was not disappointed! The cue was as straight as an arrow. Nice finish, comfortable grip and would purchase again. Great product. Thank you.

The good, the bad and the ugly... update
So , the good, the cue actually played very well. I had two table runs on my first use. 7 games. My actual first use of this cue, I ran the table with it. Weight is good and cue control was actually really good. The bad, it's not perfectly straight. Actually the ferrul is straight. However, when jointed , it has an obvious curve. The ugly , when delivered the Beauty ring around the joint was completely not glued on and fell off opening the package. So...iafter some good glue...it's a good cue...but just good...it's much better than it's price point... way better than a house cue...100 x better than a house cue...the cue actually way outperformed my expectations! . If you have skills and play with others that do as well..and they are using a more expensive cue, well you're probably going to lose... however, for the price, it's really good..if you're looking for a cue to be more consistent with and will outperform 75% of house cues...well this works really well. The fact that you're playing with you're own cue and playing with the same cue everytime...just by virtue of consistency, you're going to play better... even if it's not perfect ..I was able to get good feel and feedback with it...I like, but I don't love it...for a 30$ price point and if you're used to house cues, you'll love it..I got the plain black one, thinking,it wouldn't draw attention and 5 people in the pool hall I was at,walked up to me and asked me about my plain black stick, while they were all holding much fancier and more expensive sticks...so much for not drawing attention to yourself with a plain black cue...it does have an attractive look and I suppose, being what I would call piano black, maybe draws people's attention,in a day with glits and glam and customizable, being affordable. Never in my life did I think this inexpensive, plain black cue, would draw the attention it did. UPDATE... sometime later playing with a friend, who owns a much more expensive cue. I beat him, then he politely said "let's trade cues" and he beat me me with this generic cue. Ain't that a kicker. I shaped the tip and we both used high end chalk. The thing that kills me , is the darn thing still isn't dead straight, and gets crazy English on the ball. You can totally over play this cue, easily. It's more of a finesse stroke than I ever imagined. Still not my fav.

DO NOT BUY THIS STICK IF YOU WANT TO SHOOT STRAIGHT.
This stick was cool the first day I got it but it bent slightly after like 3 games, after like 10 games is was so warped that I had to find the wobble and point it down just to try to get a shot off. Build quality was horrible it feels like a catfish fishing pole and it makes a horrible sound when you connect with the cue ball. I got this hoping to elevate my game but instead it just became an hurdle that I had to try to overcome on top of trying to learn how to shoot. If you are looking at this stick I assume you are new to pool, do yourself a favor and skip this stick and go with a good known brand wood stick. This is absolute garbage I quickly set up a return on this.

Pool cue
For the money, I’m impressed with the quality/finish of this cue. We’ll see how it stands up over time.

Great intermediate cue as Viper is known for Not Graphite As advertised.
Quality of paint sketchy. Far less than other Viper cues played with over the years. Of course this was bought as a gift for a friend. Upon Arrival the Sticker labels were placed on the stick while paint wasn't cured or just wrong adhesive on label. Where it was attached the paint peeled and instead of waiting on return and headache of shipping back and forth, I fixed myself. The company could save some headache with quality control and proper placement of labels on packaging verses the cue itself. Would be even easier for someone to get the stick blank with grip already installed. Couple dollars paint from Wallys Mart and you get the picture. All in all the cue cost less than a tiger tip installed at a pro shop so will still be a better gift than a fruit cake. If wanting quality save your bucks a few more months and step up a level or two. This is where the Viper cues actually used to be playability has always been good.
