My favorite fingerstyle hymn collection
This is my favorite books of hymns arranged for fingerstyle guitar. The arrangements hit the sweet spot between being playable for beginner to intermediate level players, yet musically interesting. Many of the arrangements employ moving bass lines, like a piano arrangement, which adds to their hymn-like quality. My one criticism is that the tablature numbers are very small and difficult to read.

All of the song arrangements in this book are great. This book has most of your most popular hymns.I'm I am not an amateur guitarist nor am I a professional. I have some experience in fingerpicking styles. This book is easy to read and the song sound very professional. There is a guy on YouTube that covers the songs that helps quite a bit.So in closing if you're looking for a book so you can entertain your family or perform special music for your church. This is your book. The music is arranged really well as played or you can add hammer one and pull offs to making them your room.

expand your repertoire
I bought this book after learning the songs in another book by Hal Leaonard (Fingerpicking Hymns 15 songs). This one is a bit more difficult but both have tabs and a good song selection. I would say intermediate level. A few songs with alternate tuning (drop D). Best suited for nylon strings but I suppose any guitar will do. I've received positive feedback after playing a variety of these songs for special music or offeratory during church service.

Beautifully arranged for classical or finger-style guitar players
This is a great collection of hymns that were traditionally sung in Protestant churches. The hymns are beautifully arrangedand are perfect for playing for people to just listen to (like at a nursing home or an instrumental performance), but also work perfectly for accompanying a sing-a-long.Appropriate for both classical and finger-style guitar players.

Great for people like me who are starting to play fingerstyle, would recommended it for everybody.
I was waiting anxiously for this book to be delivered, and when I got it, I was just so happy I could cry. I got this in e-book form but I could not see the arrangements because they were to small so I bought the paper back. Notwithstanding, I love it because I'm an intermediate guitar player, and they are easy to play. Great for people like me who are starting to play fingerstyle, would recommended it for everybody.

Very good book
Very good book. I usually try get my tabs of hymns online, which requires lots of searching and most times you come up short. This book has enough songs to keep me busy for awhile. Some of them are simple and a little below my level of playing, but fun none the less. I guess my only compliant would be I wish there was more verity in the keys the songs were written in, and some of the arrangements aren't my preference. But all in all, very nice book.
