Nuforce NE-700X Titanium Coated In-Ear Headphones - Aqua Silver

Update: review holds true, as of day 1 (below). Only day 1. Unfortunately, day 2 - loss of 50% of sound from the right earbud. Clearly as nice as these appear to be and sound, there are significant build quality issues. I've never had a pair of earbuds fail so quickly, I'd imagine even a good pair has a 6 month to one year lifespan at most like most other earbuds which employ the lightbulb model to keep people buying new ones. It's unfortunate how often this is, the warranty for these illustrates this. As others have noted, they offer refurbished products in the event of a failure so you're never getting an opportunity to get a "good pair" if you were unfortunate enough to get a lemon. Highly disappointed, more so because they were quite impressive when they worked.Day 1: Plenty of reviews have gone in depth on these, as far as I'm concerned they're some of the best ear buds I've ever had the pleasure of owning. I've bought dozens of different high quality ear buds over the years from $200 to $50 and these are amazing. I primarily use them for iPod/iPad/iPhone devices although I've also hooked them up to Macbook Pro as well as a high end desktop audio card designed for music. They sound fantastic right out of the box with no break in time and I can only imagine they will only mature in sound quality further even without using memory foam covers which I usually put on ear buds immediately. I listen to a fairly vast variety of music genres and I found them great across the board. They do have a fairly significant punch to them in the low end, although they didn't overbear music that wasn't necessarily punchy. The aluminum housing and cables are all well designed and well insulated, they are fairly thin connectors to the ear buds themselves so it's good to treat them well if you want them to last. All in all, vastly exceeding my expectations although many reviewers cited these as some of the best ear buds you could buy sound quality wise for listening to compressed music (generally, everything I listen to is either high quality Pandora or 320kbps mp3s).

After my previous pairs of Sennheiser CX300 and CX500's broke, I bought pair after pair of cheap earbuds for a few years before deciding to invest in a more expensive pair. Though I've been happy with Sennheiser in the past, after doing much research, I decided on the NE-700X. A few words on my experience so far:The fit is very customizable. You can really get a good "suction" with them, and when you do they're incredibly noise canceling so mess around with the different sizes for a bit. I was living in Boston when I bought these headphones and would listen to music at only half volume during my commute. Through transfers, rowdy Sox fans, and screaming children, these headphones succeeded in blocking any and all disturbances.The sound is good. Great with respect to the cheap earbuds I have been working with for some time. However, it is not necessarily the fullest, deepest sound that I've experienced. The sound quality gets slightly better with fit and volume. Overall I am very pleased with the sound quality, especially for the price range. If you're looking for an upgrade from the CX300's or CX500's based purely on depth of sound, these probably aren't for you.The only truly frustrating aspect of these headphones is how outside vibrations in the wire translate into your ears. What I mean by that is, they're not great for running, even walking. If you have the wires loose and bouncing around, you can hear a surprisingly loud thumping with every step. What I do to alleviate this is try to clip the wire to my shirt, which reduces the movement.I've had these headphones for a little over two months and I am very happy that I decided to take a chance with these. I chose to write this review tonight because I just put them through the washing machine. I was incredibly frustrated that I had been so careless with them, and assumed that I would have to shell out another $65 for a replacement pair. But to my amazement, they completely survived the washing machine. They sound just as wonderful as they did 2 hours ago! I am so impressed with their quality and durability that I had to pass this along. I highly recommend these headphones to those of us that are slightly more audiophilic than most!

These are my second pair. Loved the first pair, but lost them on a trip. Great price and impeccable sound from these headphones! NuForce makes an excellent product.
