IMAXGPK Ground Plane Kit (for Model IMAX-2000 Base Station Antennas)

THIS ITEM WAS FINALLY SHIPPED AND I FINALLY RECEIVED IT --THE FIRST TIME I ORDERED IT IT NEVER WAS SHIPPED --AMAZON SAID THAT THEY NEEDED MORE TIME TO SHIP IT , SO I CANCELLED THE ORDER AND RE-ORDERED AND IT ARRIVED FINALLY UNDAMAGED. I WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED THAT I HAD RECEIVED IT UNDAMAGED. SO FAR ITEM WORKS WELL AS CAN BE EXPECTED. ITEM SEEMS TO BE WELL BUILT ALSO AND SO FAR SO GOOD. I AM STILL ABLE TO USE IT. THANK YOU

I ordered this with a tad of trepidation because of mixed reviews both here and on some forums.For my specific installation, 20’ up, it has quieted down receive significantly, and while I don’t have a direct signal strength comparison before and after (because of having to climb up and down on the roof), I can definitively say it has improved receive.I use the IMAX on 17 through 10 meters, and from Nevada I’ve worked several European, Japanese, and Australian stations with only 100 watts. This radial kit will only improve that.

Took me longer to unpacking the radial kit. Very well packaged. I put it together in fifteen minutes. Connect to bottom u bolt on imaxx2000. This is Product of the United States of America 🇺🇸. Great price.

Enhanced the performance of my IMAX 2000. However, you may not notice any improved performance (of the IMAX 2000) unless the antenna is mounted at least 1 wavelength of 27/28 mhz above ground. (around 30-35 feet)

Works well in the 10-11 meter bands. Easy installation on a push up pole. Great DX antenna above 27 feet. Works great locally. Good antenna if you have limited space.

I added this to my new Imax-2000 and I am very pleased with the results. I did not try the antenna without the GP, so I can't give a comparison. All I know is this antenna gives me 3-4 s units over my inverted v dipole. What more could you ask for? Well worth it for me, your mileage may vary.

Perhaps it because my IMAX 2000 antenna is not far enough away from my other antennas, but the addition of the GPK (Ground Plane Kit) raised my SWR to 1:1.5Removal of the GPK returned it to closer 1:1.2Maybe I am picking nits. My antenna is 15' about the ground located close to a scanner antenna and a HAM HF antenna.When I move the IMAX 2000 to a more isolated location I will re-install the kit and report.Installation was simple.

I noticed a difference in the transmit and receive of my station.I installed the ground plane kit without telling anyone and everyone said my signal was stronger.I've read reviews that say there was no difference, but in my case it definitely increase my transmit signal.
