Drift Ghost 4K+ Action Camera - Meet the Latest Drift Camera with 4K Ultra High Definition, EIS, Streamlined Form, Dual and External Microphones

Excellent image stabilisation for my chosen activity. Have used this product line before and have never been disappointed including this time.

Brought the Drift Ghost 4K camera for my bike as l was nearly run over by a car going to work. Do like the discreet style and size of the camera. Picture is decent in 4K but l mostly use 2K. Only complaint in 4K there is no image stabilisation and also l feel the price should a bit cheaper as the technology in this camera is a bit dated compared to a GoPro.

No App available in Google Play store which makes the cameras useless. Drift Innovation will take several days to answer emails and don't reply to any Tweets.I'm sending mine back and going back to GoPro

This should have potentially got 4or5 stars but,They only supply a curved mount now so unless your willing to pay extra for 5 flat mounts it may not fit on your crash helmet.You can't turn off Bluetooth even though its not compatible with the Bluetooth remote, apparently it's on so that you can communicate with other Bluetooth devices in clone mode, even if you don't want it why? it's just wasting battery.If you want to enable loop recording because if you dont the video recording randomly stops, you have to turn on car dvr which is a setting in the tiny screen not in the drift life app, why? Also if you turn on car dvr it negatively effects image stabilisation ( as stated by drift customer support).Why Does it still have mini USB and why is the lead so short?Apart from the above it's a nice device that produces a decent image but due to the above its going back.

On motor bike

Had one before. Good points. Battery life not bad. Good quality recording. Easy to activate with gloves on. Reasonably weather resistant.Bad pointsFiddly to set upMic more or less uselessNot water proof, just weatherproof. Water ingress into sod slot during heavy or sustained exposure to rain. That’s what fried the original camera.

The design and form factor are very good and the battery life is ok, but unfortunately the image stabilisation is very poor (GoPros are far better), when mounted on a bicycle. On all but the smoothest roads, it becomes a blurry mess, making numberplate recognition often impossible. Also it uses a Micro USB connection rather than Mini USB or USB-C - why?

Got this to replace contour roam 3 as I needed longer battery life. The drift ghost 4k+ has much better video quality and stock battery lasts about 3.5 hours at 1080p 30 fps. However I've only had it about 3-4 months and the USB port has failed so can't charge it and external mic doesn't work. Seems to be a common issue with the drift ghost cameras so can't recommend it for that reason. My contour roam 3 however still works fine after several years of use.

I had an older GoPro Hero that has amazing video quality but the battery life is just terrible. I gave this camera a chance thinking worst case I could just return it. This thing is great. I have it mounted on my motorcycle helmet. Video quality seems to be as good as my GoPro was. The standard battery lasts a long time even with stabilization turned on but I also got the extended battery for those longer multi day off road trips. I also like that it doesn't stick out as far on the side of my helmet. The app that works with it is ok, nothing special. I usually have Bluetooth off to get longer battery life. The button to turn on and start/stop recording is easy enough to use with gloves on and the sound set to max is audible through the helmet with earplugs.

BonjourJ'ai eu la Drift Ghost S pendant 5 ans et à part un soucis de fixation et de cache arrière cassé (d'où l'achat de la 4K+), cette caméra ne m'a jamais fait défaut - Utilisation quotidienne (moto).Suite à la casse du cache arrière, et estimant que la S avait fait son temps, je me suis penché sur la 4K+ en octobre 2021 (nous sommes en avril 2022) : 6 mois d'utilisations quotidiennes et je n'ai eu que des soucis avec depuis le début :- Mini carte SD qui ne s'enclenche pas, empêchant les enregistrements.Obligé de coincer la carte dans son slot avec du scotch puissant.- Batterie d'origine qui se vide en 30 minutes malgré une charge sur plusieurs heures.Obligé d'acheter la grosse batterie qui permet elle, de tenir environ 3 heures sans rechargement.- Adaptateur Mini-USB pour le micro Jack 3.5 qui ne tient pas sans son emplacement (pourquoi avoir supprimé la prise Jack ??).Obligé de scotcher le tout.Et ce matin, la petite goutte qui fait déborder le vase : la caméra ne s'allume plus !Ni avec la batterie d'origine, ni la grosse batterie, ni en se branchant au PC via l'USB.Cette caméra est une bouse sans nom !!Je vais donc ressortir ma Drift Ghost S, trouver une solution pour le cache arrière et ne plus rien commander chez eux car même en leur demandant une solution pour la mini carte SD qui ne s'enclenche plus, je n'ai eu aucun suivi. Seulement une réponse sans intérêt.

However, my experience has been a complete disaster, and I feel the responsibility to warn other potential buyers about the nightmare I've endured.On December 11, 2023, just one year after the purchase, the camera has completely ceased to function. There are no signs of life; it doesn't turn on, and worst of all, it has not suffered any impact or fall. I invested in the rain protector to ensure the product's durability, bought additional accessories directly from the manufacturer's store, and yet, everything has turned out to be a complete failure.I can't express in words my frustration at discovering that my investment has become an expensive paperweight in the shape of a camera. The trust I placed in the quality of the Drift Ghost 4K+ has been betrayed in the most disappointing manner possible.Most shocking is that, despite all the precautions taken and additional accessories purchased, the camera has proven to be completely useless in an incredibly short period. This level of unreliability is unacceptable, and I can't help but feel cheated and disappointed by the brand.My intention in writing this review is clear: avoid this product at all costs! Don't fall into the trap of the advertising and alleged durability they promote. Drift Ghost 4K+ has proven to be a regrettable investment and a total waste of money. There are other options on the market that undoubtedly offer much better quality and durability. Don't make the same mistake I did; opt for products from more reliable and established brands. Your money deserves to be invested in something truly worthwhile, and Drift Ghost 4K+ is not it.

buyer beware, so i bought a bunch of the accessories and attempted to put them together and use them as i found the accessories , but the first camera didn't even power on, but the second one did, then i tried to contact support and the amazon seller is Drift directly, (first camera) so i figured this should be a walk in the park message them well i messaged to find out a week later i get the messageThe key detail I believe you are missing here - is that the retailer is obligated to deal with warranty cases, not the manufacturer.Although we do provide technical support for all Drift users, regardless of where they purchased their Drift camera from (hence why you will have been forwarded to us when you made your inquiry initially) - when it comes the actual warranty terms for cameras, we can only help with devices / accessories purchased directly from our online store. so then product returned to amazon , ordered the second one thinking it might be a one off. so Drift produces a Bluetooth camera and i purchased it separately as i didn't see it available as a set until i was directly on their own website. and long story short, i tried to pair it . failed, contacted support and got The Ghost 4K+ model is not compatible with the BT Remote accessory, yet their own webiste states "Pairs to Ghost XL Pro, Ghost XL or Ghost 4K via Bluetooth for low power interaction. Uses a CR1632 battery and includes" so we won't be able to help you with this I am afraid , then asked so what cameras is it compatible with and received no answer. what to expect is horrible service and a product that is iffy at best. a company not expecting to perform customer service as the answers are short to the point and fail to answer any questions. the model i had, was the 4k it looks like it is upsized with software or processor processor as as the CCD is too small for 4k and the mic well it works when it wants to
