I had a little difficulty putting this shelf together at first but when I figured it out it went smoothly after that. The poles are easy to bend so becareful when putting it together, I did bend on slightly. I wouldn't weight it down too much but it holds my books and other random collectibles just fine. The shelves have more space than I anticipated. Cleans up well when sticky stuff has been spilled. The instructions were a little unclear but once you figure out the first cube set it gets easier. Is rocky if bumped into so put in a low traffic bumping area.

I wanted something cheap to put in my laundry room to hold extra blankets/sheets/etc. This fit the bill completely. That being said, clear your plans for an entire afternoon when you want to assembly. It is not easy at all - even with assistance. The concept is brilliant but I am completely lost to as to how to make it work the first time! I literally had to start over a few times. The directions are 100% perfect - they really are! Follow them for your configuration desires. It just isn't easy to assemble. I would buy again - it is perfect for the cost! It seems sturdy for my needs - nothing has broken or sagged so that is a bonus too!

The pros:Sturdier than expected, especially given the price. I'm not worried about putting a reasonable amount of weight on the shelves.Easy to figure out how to put it together if you're used to assembling flat-pack furniture, despite the scant & nearly incomprehensible instructions.The cons:This unit was a bit of a pain to assemble. The holes the metal tube go into are a tight fit, and it took quite a bit of muscle to get them inserted. The instructions were also pretty UNhelpful.The individual pieces are somewhat flimsy, even though it's pretty stable & sturdy as a whole once assembled. I bent the ends of several tubes and cracked one of the plastic brackets, and I'm a pretty averagely-strong person.I ended up with a bunch of extras of the longer tubes, a couple extra short ones, short dividers, short tubes, & unidirectional dividers, & a few extra long dividers - BUT I was one short on the bidirectional brackets. I was able to assemble the shelves with what was included, but it was an odd assortment of parts.Final verdict:It's fine & will serve the intended purpose. It's also not something I plan to use long-term, & I wouldn't even try to dis/reassemble. Given all of that, I'd buy it again for the purpose I got it for, but next time I'm buying a much better one for the long term.

The instructions were a little bit hazy on putting it together. Had to use a hammper to seat the pole so they wouldn't come apart.Otherwise it was good for holding light objects. I wouldn't recommend it for heavier than 5 lbs per cube.

I was looking for a bookcase without the typical bookcase look. I got two of these and while they were somewhat easy to assemble (have to hammer them in and hope they don't bend) but I worry about how sturdy they are. Be careful because the fabric cover rips easily. Also, there is nothing "hard" to put stuff on. So if you could find some kind of mat that fits in each space, that would probably be ideal. You're basically putting things directly on the bars.

These have lasted a while. I use them in our closets for clothes, books, games,hats, and shoes. I think I ended up buying a second set. The best part is being able to build it in the style that you want. They are not the strongest or prettiest, but that's why I use them in the closet. Perfect for the price.

For the price I am happy with these shelves but I wish they were a little sturdier. The fabric is thin, so I am hesitant to put something too heavy on them, but they work well for clothes and toys!
