Tremendous value
I think I have ordered this over almost 10 times now? The quality and freshness is basically impossible to beat for decaf coffee. And I have looked extensively. I drink decaf elusively due to a caffeine sensitivity but I just love the taste of coffee. I also am somewhat health paranoid so I only drink coffee that is decaffeinated using water. (no chemicals). This coffee checks all my boxes. It tastes absolutely delightful, uses swiss water decaffeination, and is also somehow the most affordable out there?! Everywhere else I look, sellers want over $2.00/oz. This is roughly $1.40/oz and, as of writing this, it is randomly on sale for $0.99/oz. This is a no brainer folks! As far as taste, what keeps me coming back is that it is the right amount of complex and simple. Some coffees do have a wonderfully complex and exotic taste. But as much as I am a thrill seeker, I don't really like to daily drive those types of coffees. However I certainly do not want Folgers in my cup in the morning. This has a really universally appealing profile in my opinion. It's rich, medium to dark, chocolatey, smooth, and has low acidity when brewed correctly. I am a pour-over kind of person which means I get to screw up my variables from time to time and enjoy some of the hidden character of the coffee. I am not a coffee master by any means but compared to what I have tried, this is quite resilient to bitterness. I have done an accidental 20-minute immersion steep with this coffee and the result was surprisingly enjoyable. Bitter, yes, but very rich and textured and pretty fun. I drank the whole cup! Something IMPORTANT to note. This is by far the best coffee I have tried for Iced-Coffee in the summer, hands down. I do not know what it is, but other coffees, even those expensive and niche ones, just don't take a cold brew quite like this one. A cold-brew of this with some cream and just a dash of sugar tastes like the most expensive chocolate bar you've ever drank. It is seriously good. I really hope they keep this coffee and keep it competitively priced because I will be getting it for the foreseeable future.

Great coffee with full body and rich taste
This is by far one of the best decaf coffees I have ever tried. There are several things that I like about it. First I prefer dark roast over medium roast, and every decaf coffee I’ve tried is usually a medium roast. I was so happy to see this brand had a dark roast. The coffee has nutty, chocolate and caramel notes. I use the pour over method and use a slightly bigger than a medium grind. I get a full bodied rich cup of coffee. To those who say it lacks flavor, I would suggest trying a different grind size or a different brew method because that can greatly affect the outcome of your coffee. I start with 21 g of coffee beans grind them fresh and use the pour over method the total of 280 g of water with a start to finish time of 3 1/2 minutes. I always get a great rich satisfying cup of coffee

High Quality but Expensive
This is truly great coffee. The flavor is rich, bold, and smooth — especially for a decaf. I really appreciate that it’s Swiss Water Process and certified organic. It tastes high-quality and doesn’t feel like a typical decaf at all. The only downside is the price — it’s a bit expensive for the size. But if quality matters to you, it’s definitely worth trying.

Finally—a decaf that actually tastes like coffee.
Finally—a decaf that actually tastes like coffee. I’m pretty picky about my coffee, and finding a decent decaf has been a struggle. Most of them taste like cardboard or colored water, but Kicking Horse is easily the best I’ve ever had. I use the pour-over method, and I was really impressed by how well this roast holds up. Usually, decaf can feel a bit thin when you brew it this way, but this has a great body and a really rich, dark flavor. Even the bloom during the pour-over was better than most caffeinated beans I’ve bought recently. You can tell the beans are fresh and high quality. It’s bold and smooth without that weird chemical aftertaste you get with cheaper brands, probably because of the Swiss Water Process. If you’re like me and love the ritual of a pour-over but need to skip the caffeine, this is a total game-changer. I’m definitely making this my go-to from now on.

Good flavor but a little expensive
Good coffee but too expensive for us. That’s why three stars, the value for the money.

No better coffee.... decaf or not
I had the opportunity to try all this company's offerings and was BLOWN AWAY by this decaf. This tastes better than ANY coffee I have had recently -- decaf or not. It tastes just like coffee you'd get in Europe. I love having a great coffee to drink at night! But what is going on here? I tried all their varieties and, while they are pretty darn good, none of them hold a candle to this one. This has the perfect coffee flavor. I'm just stunned. Second runner up, AND the best from this brand for non-decaf is their light roast Hola coffee. It has a tremendous flavorful and fruity taste. I like it on its own, or I will mix it with medium or dark roast coffees when I get flavor burn out. These two are on my constant rotation.

Makes a Great Cup of Coffee
Sadly (I love coffee), I developed a caffeine sensitivity sometime around 10 years ago which kept me from sleeping at night. Since then, I've gone through a lot of decaf trying to find a really good cup of coffee. This is IT. ALL the others either gave me a headache - mold, mildew or extraction process? IDK - but this one is PERFECT. I had gotten accustomed to espresso blends brewed in a regular coffee pot and with all the other decaf brands, I've had to use 2 and sometimes 3x the amount I would for regular coffee JUST trying to achieve more that a pot of tasteless hot water. That was getting expensive. Kicking Horse Decaf is the best I've tried so far. 2 healthy scoops (4-6 TBSP) of freshly ground beans and I now have my morning cup(s) of happiness. On the weekends, when evening sleep isn't so important, I've blended in a pinch or two of their Three Sisters blend (also a very good cup of coffee!) and I can get the housework done without feeling like I need a nap, lol I really appreciate the Swiss Water Process too. There is no bitterness, the coffee is fresh and smells great. It's been 10 years of sub-par decaf coffee, so unless they change the beans this is now My Coffee. Thanks Kicking Horse, for making my mornings tolerable again :) 5 Stars-Highly Recommend
