Great!
These worked great for our Chinese mini excavator. Keeps things cool and very easy to mount to the machine. Exactly what we needed. Now just need to move the gas tank

Seems like a good procuct, but NO (zero, zilch, nada) instructions
The product seems like it's well built and reasonably complete. However, it does not include any instructions for the proper use of the included mounting hardware or proper way to reverse the directioin of air flow. It also does not include appropriate bullet connectors, necessary for the included fan pigtail. The pigtail has 1 male and 1 female connector but does not provide the mating connectors you need to wire this unit into your vehicle. I posted a question on Amazon regarding reversing the air flow. I got 5 responses, 2 were just wrong, 2 were incomplete, and 1 was right. The fan comes in a sucker configuration. I needed a blower fan. To accomplish reversing the flow you must flip the fan on the motor shaft AND reverse the motor polarity. If you only reverse the polarity the fan blow but it will be inefficient (the blades are cupped, and the leading edge must enter the air stream at the correct angle). The mounting hardware is common for add-on electric fans but there is a right way and a wrong way to assemble the fasteners. The positioning of the pads, the orientation of the springs and the amount of tension applied by the keepers are all important. Some basic instructions would have been helpful!Instructions would have changed this rating from 4 star to 5.

Pushes a good bit of air.
Installed an electric fan on my truck but needed a second for my a/c, so far just one of these is working perfect.

Used with an adjustable 12 v switch and this works very well.
I sure this for a fan in my truck. It works very well for my use.

Direction matters due to fan blade design - do it right!
Dave Solakian did a review and he deserves major kudos. He noted that if you wish to "reverse" the airflow, you really need to reverse the fan blades because the design of the blades is cupped. I was initially quite disappointed with the airflow (measured with an anenometer) but after reading his comment, I re-measured in the correct direction and the air velocity almost DOUBLED. Thanks Dave! However, I'm still baffled why this says 80W 12V - when I use a bench power supply at 12 Volts, the fan only takes about 3 Amps - 36 Watts. And so the 1500 CFM rating I don't get either - I get a bit over 400 CFM at 36 Watts - not quite 1/3rd of anticipated. Is the max voltage really 24 Volts not 12?? I don't want to blow up the fan until I see a spec that says I can boost the voltage but the specs here on Amazon say 12V 80W. And the sticker on the fan says the same.

Used as OEM replacement for 2020 850 sportsman highlifter
My OEM fans on my 2020 sportsman Highlifter 850 took a crap after about a year and a half of being used in the heat, mud and sand in Texas. One fan seized up and the other one was barely spinning. Was looking for a replacement without spending $159+ a piece for only one Polaris OEM part. These fans were easy to install with simple modification.I did have to splice some wire and use some heat shrink tubing to make everything neat and use some small self taping screw as the holes are aligned slightly different then The OEM fans. These fans cut on at 195 degrees just as the regular ones would cooling the unit down back to the 170 temp range were then then turn back off.So far I am satisfied, hoping they last for at least as long as my OEM ones. These are also a bit more powerful as well.
