God is in Control: An Unshakable Peace in the Midst of Life's Storms

What a wonderful book written by a seasoned and tried pastor of GOD's flock. Written from the heart with love to those who have affliction and to those who question the meaning of affliction and sorrow--where is GOD when you need HIM ? Why so much tragedy ? Does prayer really work ? Can I find peace in the midst of my affliction ? Am I focusing to much on my affliction ? How does GOD's revealed mind respond to these questions? Pastor-Teacher Dr. Charles Stanley has been in the same trenches like some of us and with his words of love and sincerity, backed with numerous Scripture verses, he helps to not only understand the why of where we stand but also to understand that we are not alone or helpless. We have strength available to us from our faithful GOD who not only loves us but is waiting for us to come to HIM for help and comfort. I believe anyone can write and give formulas on how to prevent or ease affliction but only someone who has experienced affliction and comes through with the proper response, can give a believable testimony and advice. After reading some of the poor reviews I must warn potential buyers that unless you believe in the true Sovereignty of GOD in all details of life, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the Doctrine of Concurrence, this book will sound alien and probably offensive. My overall rating for the content is five stars but for the e-book layout rating I give it 2.0 stars. It was annoying seeing such poor e-book quality. I have read several paperback books by the author but this is my first e-book I purchase from his inventory. I mostly buy e-books so I know good quality when I see it. GOD is in Control.

Easy reading that provides encouragement.

No matter what you are going through, the one guarantee that we are all promised by the sovereign, all-powerful, all-loving God is his presence and control over our lives. We are never called to “go it alone”. We live with the Holy Spirit in us and guiding us. Praise Jesus!!!!! My prayer is that this book will teach you clearly and powerfully the key to coping in a painful world. If you are already in a strong relationship with God, it will remind you and refresh you with His love, strength, and ever-abiding presence in all of our lives. Praise God!!!! Enjoy and be comforted!!!!

Words Enlightening Life and showing God's Control in our walk with Him.

This is a book to treasure, to enjoy for its beauty in the good times, and to turn to for steadiness during times of trials. I first read it in the Kindle edition (not perfectly formatted), and loved it so much I ordered a hardbound copy for a friend who was experiencing trials, and one for myself just to have to refer back to.

While I didn’t totally agree with everything Charles Stanley says in this book, I did like how he reminds us throughout that God IS in control.There were some magnificent thoughts in the book that I highlighted and am sure I’ll refer to in the future.

Thank you for helping me to understand God's word in ways I couldn't have found on my own. Dr. Stanley you are a Blessing. You have helped me to see the Word of encouragement that God gives. This has helped me to have the courage to continue. Thank you.

God is in Control by Charles F. Stanley delivers in two ways. First, it is a good source of meditation for those times in one's live that seem chaotic and out of control. Second, it has beautiful photography and art work. Dr. Stanley is one of my favorite Christian pastors and writers. In this small book Dr. Stanley points the worried and anxious to the Biblical promises of God. In times of trouble it is hard to let go of the idea that we are not in control of the situation. This book will help the reader focus on the God, who is always there. Finally, Dr. Stanley is an accomplished amatuer photographer and this book contains many nice photographs that lend to the book a sense of place.

I loved the principles of this book. It's all about God's promises and we can hold onto the promises because we know God Is In Control of each and every circumstance of our lives. We can trust God to do what He has said and promised each one of His children.

This book was a blessing. As with Dr Stanley's many books a very easy read with biblical truth. Our sovereign God almighty, is indeed in control. Go get the book and be encouraged!
