Desire able x
Have had the HTC Desire x for about 2 weeks now in some waysits it looks just like the desire s though its a bit lighter and thinner the back is made of a kind of rubberised plastic which makes it good to hold some of the tech website reviewers have had an issue with the back cover and its removal it is on the thin side but with a bit of care its no worse than some of the other big brands as for the insides it runs on ICE CREAM SANDWICH 4.0And has a 1ghz dual core processor so far I've had no problems with lag and reception is really good call quality is clear battery is OK for this type of phone can get 2 days at a push but only a day if its been a busy one screen is bright and can be seen in direct sunlight (has to be on 100%)overall its a well made not to big in the pocket good responsive screen and a decent camera and although is only 5m pixels has the same spec that's on the one x. Hope this helps.

Does what I want - almost.
I'd been considering a smartphone for some time. I'd researched several others and kept being drawn back to this one. My daughter already had an HTC and was very pleased with it. I particularly like that fact that it will synchronise with my Google calendar and so every time I add an appointment on my desktop PC, the appointment automatically appears in my telephone calendar. I also bought a 16GB microSD card to augment the memory.It does everything that I want from a mobile telephone - and more. The only thing that I find frustrating is that I cannot organise my photographs into albums. Perhaps I just haven't found that particular function yet...Recommended! Especially if you use Google's online calendar.

Absolutely love the HTC desire X
After going through 2 Samsung mini S3s in less than 10 days due to freezing screens and cutting out during calls I decided to opt for the trust HTC again. I used to have a Desire S and although good, the Desire X is far superior. It is fast, clear, well laid out and very easy to use. The phone is stylish, incredibly light and half the size of the giant smart phones which don't fit in a pocket! The battery is amazing too, I use it for calling, texting, Internet and Facebook all the time and am only charging it every 2-3 days.....not sure how this is possible but I am definitely not complaining. All in all a cracking phone for a very decent price.

Great phone but avoid vodafone like the plague!
Having had my last phone (an HTC Wildfire) stolen I decided to opt for HTC again as I like the way they work. I needed a phone that is slim enough to carry when running, has really good sound quality, and takes a great photo: if these are your priorities the Desire X is a good choice. The screen is also larger and appears to be higher resolution than the Wildfire. I found some downloading to take more time than I expected: the Kindle app and books took a time, but once on the phone, the experience of reading has been enhanced by the slightly larger screen than that on the Wildfire. My only reservation is that I wouldn't use Vodafone unless I had to (it's the only semi-reliable signal here): their customer services team were worse than useless - 8 emails & 3 phone calls (which cost me) later, I still haven't had my old number transferred to my new phone (a process which they initially said would be "simple") and every person I spoke to from Vodafone gave me different advice and instructions from the last one I contacted!

Great Smartphone for the price
Very happy with my HTC.I've had it for almost a month now and i'm very pleased that i choose the Desire X.The screen is the perfect size (not too big) and its response and smooth to use.Email, text and web browsing work great.My only issue is with the battery life, 24 hours appears to be the max.I would recommend leaving the battery to charge for the allocated time (12 hours i think) before you use it.I failed to do this and now think that this might explain the current poor battery life.

Amazing for the money
Even better than I had expected it to be. Fast and fluid enough for everyday use and as long as you don't play games for hours on end it will last for a day. The battery life is better than some others.HTC phones have always looked good as far as the user interface goes, its also much more intuitive in comparison with the likes of Samsung. This ones no different.I couldn't have asked for a better more reliable phone especially for just over £200 (Jan 2013)

Affordable and it does the job
I'd recommend this product for people who want to enjoy the benefits of a smartphone and want to spend a reasonable price. It does the basics well: phone calls, SMS, access to android apps and reasonable battery life. No issues so far

HTC Desire X UK Sim Free Smartphone - Stealth Black but got a white one :(
WTF... the phone i got was not new had to do a full reset, it came in German language, just took 2min to reset the phone, screen came with finger prints all over it. will not but from this seller again. and i orderd a black phone when i got it it was white...not happy
