I have been using this product for probably 15 or so years. Branch chain aminos are a must, but this is full spectrum and as I get older I appreciate them more. Quality company, quality product, the pills are pretty big but I have no problem downing a few of them at a time. Also get a lot of servings for the price. I've gone back and forth between using powder mixed in my water and I just prefer to take these. Great company I have trusted for years and my favorite amino hands down. There is no real taste to them as you are swallowing a hard pill, but they work and work well. No issues with stomach discomfort or anything like that.

I've been using these for over three years and I swear by them. They give me the energy I need to get through a workout and help with the recovery after. The pills, you should be warned, are gigantic. They are "horse pills". It's funny because on the bottle it says "easy to swallow". The thing is, though, after a short time I got really used to taking them and there's no issue now. Three years and I haven't choked yet. I highly recommend taking them with a big gulp of water. That is key. Also, at first at least, I recommend not doing it alone just in case. Finally, cutting them in half might seem like a good idea, but it's worse. Yeah, it's less to swallow, but with the pill in half it has jagged edges that hurt going down and actually make it harder to swallow

As you may have read, these amino acid pills are oversized, and stick to the throat, and are very hard to swallow. Many people complain about this, and the company refuses to do anything about the way the pills are manufactured. For that, one star off. The product deserves to be edible. However, I have great news for those that are concerned about the size of the tablets! For days I experimented with the pills. Cutting them in half, doesn't make them easier to swallow, and can cut the esophagus, so what I did was I blended all my tablets into fine powder. Amino acid by itself truly tastes the worst! Like sour milk. So I tried blending it to liquids like water, orange juice, milk, or almond milk without success. Until finally I found a recipe that makes them very effective! After you've blended your tablets into fine powder, you'll have to find a 32oz jar or can to store the product in, as the powder takes up a considerable larger amount of volume than the tablets. I found that mixing the amino acid in yoghurt seems to work well! It turns the yoghurt into a slightly broken white, yellowish tint; and in a little thicker, dough like substance. It still tastes like crap, so I added some orange juice to it. The end result? A fruity flavored yoghurt that somehow masks a bit of the bad aftertaste of the Amino acids. It's not a dish from heaven, since you can still taste a bit of the amino acid aftertaste, but it swallows well; and gets into the bloodstream within 30 minutes. My recommendation? 2 soup spoons of powder, mixed in half a cup of yoghurt, and a shot of orange juice. Blend it, or stir it until smooth, (add optional crushed ice), and drink, about 30 minutes before exercise, and another one about 1 to 2 hours after exercise.

I love the fact that when you take this you're getting your full spectrum of amino acids but most importantly I noticed the difference when I take them you know I do a lot of strength training that's what kind of working out I do I don't I'm not trying to bulk up or anything like that I'm just trying to get cut and trim and since I started taking this I can feel the effectiveness I can feel better faster recoveries you know I don't really get sore anymore you know and it helps with the repairing of the muscles so I'm not feeling so tired the next day and I don't have that soreness which is a plus they're huge like massive size pills but I don't really taste anything I don't know how I say with mixing it cuz I mean they're pretty big pills so you got to kind of take them I can take them both but I would recommend one at a time they're definitely worth it I feel the difference

I take these an hour or two before I hit the gym and I definitely notice a positive difference in energy and recovery time. I see alot of comments regarding the size of the pills. Yes they are large pills but I cut it in half and take with food, or cut 1 pill into 3 or 4 pills and the absorption is the same. This product is genuine and I'm so glad I found it. Im 60 yrs old and 3 weeks into a solid gym routine.

FINAL UPDATE: After further use, I finally found the best way to take them without choking yourself. Grind them up in a blade coffee grinder. We use one for other herbs and stuff. They grind up into a fine, chalky consistency that will kind of billow like smoke. I then put the equivalent of 2 tablets (or more) into smoothies and protein shakes for an amino boost. It is virtually tasteless, but a bit chalky; adding cinnamon helps, too. I still maintain that these are too large for any normal person. Once these are gone I'm going to experiment with different BCAA or Essential Amino powders and continue to use in smoothies and protein shakes. UPDATE: My initial review stands...these tablets are too large for any normal person, and I would not consider myself normal as I have a high threshold for swallowing pills. I was so shocked that these were even sold, that I emailed ON customer support, and here's the response I got from them: "Thank you for choosing Optimum Nutrition and we are sorry to hear of your unfortunate experience with your last purchase of Amino 2222 Tabs. While we do not claim the Amino 2222 Tabs are easy for everyone to swallow, they have been scored during the manufacturing process to make it easier for consumers of the product to break the tablets in half and consume in two separate portions. We would certainly recommend this option as well as the consumption of these (and any other tablet or capsule products) with plenty of water. We encourage you to contact the retailer who sold you the product regarding their returns and exchange policies in the event you elect to discontinue use of the Amino 2222 Tab product. If you choose to exchange the product, we invite you to consider ON's Amino Capsules or Softgels instead, which are smaller in size and encapsulated, and so may be better suited to your consumption preferences." So, basically their solution is to score them in half. Well, bad news ON, they are still too thick and trying that still got one stuck in my throat and almost choked me! They also refused to exchange them, but instead offered me a sample of another product. The only redeeming value to them is that they are easy to crush up with the bottom of a glass, and I can add them to my protein. They are somewhat chalky but tasteless. I won't throw them away now. ............... ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am totally amazed that these supplements are even allowed on the market. There is no way that any normal or even superhuman can possibly swallow 2 of these pills 3x per day. No way. I can swallow a handful of pills in one sitting with limited water, but these are absolutely HUGE and dangerous in my opinion. If you wrote a review saying these tablets are not bad to swallow, then you are doing a disservice to your fellow humans. Do NOT ignore the bad reviews. These pills are HORRIBLE! I'm calling the manufacturer because they need to pull these from their offerings. Wow, I can't believe this.

Best quality amino acid pills containing all of the necessary amino acids and even more! I feel that they give me quite a good boost while I'm working out and I feel less sore after a hard workout. They are quite big, a bit thicker than what I had beforehand however they are not quite as long as other pills were. I find it easier to break in two to swallow easier or just simply go for it as it is. Leaving a bad review simply because one cannot swallow it shouldn't impact the rating of the product, the product does the job, its your fault you can't swallow a damn pill :p Excellent and will continue buying when I run out of it ;)

arrived on time with next day delivery. as per the product you cannot doubt optimum nutrition products . amazon sells totaly genuine products for health. i have ordered this as my coach has told me that its essential supporting supplement for whey. price was little high but i hope the results are gonna be great as lots of gym mates are using this product and i hope it do gud for me as well .
