ChurchillBlue Willow Coupe Soup Bowl 8" (Set of 6)

I just received the items I ordered from China Kingdom, London England, this morning (Jan. 23rd). The dishes are now unpacked, examined, washed and put away in my kitchen cabinet. I found each dish to be uniform in size, the pattern was perfectly placed with excellent coloring, the glaze was evenly distributed, and each dish or bowl stacked perfectly within the others. I especially like the weight, smoothness and rounded contour of the bottom of each dish. My main goal was to purchase a beautiful pattern in blue (Spode is the best in my opinion), and find one that was not "made in China", etc. Before I placed my order for these dishes, I researched the producer Churchill China of England, and the history of Spode. I am very pleased with the entire experience of this purchase and will not hesitate to order again. I most sincerely appreciate the thorough packaging efforts made by this Seller, as well as the quick turnaround of my order from London, England (the order was placed Jan. 18th). This was truly an excellent experience in all categories!

Blue Willow has been my dinnerware pattern of choice all my adult life. Partly my preference is sentimental since I grew with a blue willow set, but I also appreciate that I can replace pieces no matter how many my family members drop! It is a lovely traditional pattern, and this version is an excellent reproduction of the standard. The dishes are sturdy. My six bowls were very poorly packed, but they somehow survived without a chip or a crack.

With a pattern that is clear and earthenware tough as nails, what more can you ask for? Made in England, we've rarely had a plate or cup break even when one fell to the floor once. And the Blue Willow legend, of course, makes this the perfect pattern for lovers young and old. A Chinese Romeo and Juliet story, the ending is much better, as the gods turn the ill fated lovers into immortal love birds, kissing for eternity. As a bowl in particular, this is just the right size for soup, oatmeal, ice cream, or whatever you might wish to put in a bowl. Ours came in a speedy fashion, well packed and without a chip. A must for any complete set.

This is a perfect match of color and shape from the set I was given 30 years ago. It arrived in sturdy packaging g with not chips or damage.

I AM KIND OF 50/50. I WAS EXPECTING A DEEPER BLUE IN COLOUR AND LITTLE MORE DEEPER FOR CEREALS / OATMEAL.

Beautiful dishes,nice and heavy .I did not give it a 5 because one has 2 cracks on one side and it and I have to drive 30 miles to the ups drop off.

Dishes are brand new and perfect condition. The only complaint is that the dishes were sent nested without sime sort of packing between them. They weren't broken or chipped but I was surprised they weren't.
