Ultimate Ears Boom 3 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker - Jungle Grey

This is my second uboom speaker. I had the old one for over 10 years, till I lost it and had to buy another. The sound is way better than any other high end brands I've ever used. It's very durable, the battery will practically last a whole day and I take it everywhere with me!

For $120+, you expect pretty good sound quality nowadays with how many better options there are. It works fine and is relatively easy to use, but the quality is meh. It's not a clear sound, almost has some reverb/echo to it. Highs and lows don't sound particularly clean either. Seems difficult to remove an existing connection from its bluetooth client list, so may just need to factory reset it or something which is a bit of a bummer. Battery life is fine, I think it's lasted over 4 hours before (haven't tried longer).

Not worth the $ being wasted

The speaker arrives with a USB cord, with the standard USP and a mini-USB on either end, but no Power Adapter, so if you wish to charge the portable speaker you will need to figure out how to charge it through a USB outlet. This product does not have a compatible adapter recommended, much less available, so you'll need to figure out what is available to suit your desire to charge the speaker without needing to be near your computer or some such USB compatible device suitable for charging. Not to say that other devices haven't excluded the power adapter of late - like my new iPhone - but in the phone's case, I was made aware before the purchase that it wasn't included, so purchased an Apple Power Adapter along with the phone. Easy. An odd omission I think for this "portable" speaker that would be much more "portable' were there the versatility of being able to plug it in to an electrical outlet from the get go. Thus the 3 stars.
