Great alternative but they are not crispy and if you try to make a rice marshmallow treat it will not taste the same but still be delicious its just missing that crunch but still great!

I had been freaking out trying to find Fiber One. It had been unavailable at my local stores for months. I finally got on the internet, and discovered that there was even a reddit thread about it, where everyone decried the effect on their daily bowel routine that its loss was having. In that thread, several substitutes were mentioned, but the only one that had mostly positive reviews was this one. So I ordered a box from Amazon. Yes, it is more expensive. Yes, it has a bit more calories. Yes, it has some sugar in it. And YES, it tastes better. Despite having accepted the tradeoff of eating tasteless cardboard vs. constipation, I was never in love with Fiber One.The bottom line is that I do not plan on going back to Fiber One. I like this better and, even though I am not interested in trying to prove it, I think it works better for me. I used to eat 1/2 cup each of Fiber One and AllBran Buds, I now use 3/4 cup of this and 1/4 cup of the Buds.If you still can't get Fiber One or are just tired of it, give this a try.

This has really helped me, it has so much fiber I'd be willing to eat it forever if it continues to help me with bowel issues. The taste is not great but thats to be expected, after all it is bran. My only disappointment is the time for delivery, its been 5 days & its supposedly due for delivery tomorrow, guess I'll order more at a time so I do not run out, the order I'm waiting on is 3 boxes. Again if it's delivered tomorrow that will be the 6th day from my order - so don't depend on a fast delivery would be my advice. Good luck.

Good amount of fiber but the unnecessary added sugar makes it taste too sweet. They could reduce the amount of extra sugar they add. They also add psyllium husk to increase the fiber so you're basically having some metamusil with your breakfast.Also very expensive. At 8 suggested servings per one small box, this is over a dollar per serving of cereal alone. Yikes.

A tale of two bowls, if you will...one stoneware, one porcelain.First bowl: I've found SB cereal to be palatable enough to easily get most of my daily fiber in one serving. I like that the SB is puffed, rather than dense and crunchy as many high fiber cereals can be - it softens in milk and is easy to eat. I like to add sliced bananas and/or some Flax Plus Maple flakes to the bran to impart a bit of flavor and texture - pretty tasty.Second bowl: While I find SB on the pricy side, for me it works out to <$1.00 a serving (60 grams). Getting an entire days fiber in one 60 gram serving for under a buck isn't a bad deal. Some days I find it hard to get in enough fiber and having Smart Bran on-hand makes the task easy. And finally, YES, SB will keep your bowels moving properly!

Love this cereal. Beyond perfect nutritional profile. If you eat this everyday, you will extend your life for sure. Excellent for blood sugar stability, excellent for regularity, excellent for feeling satiated. I mix a serving of this with a serving of something a little less healthy & more tasty for a nice balance. Eat a bowl everyday and I’m very healthy. Perfect lab work, perfect gut health, and I still have my abs. Highly recommend! Oh, and it’s tastes just fine too.
