Trough Firebox (G352-2100-W1)

Trough Firebox was ordered through amazon to replace the oem one on my Char broil Infrared gas grill which had worn out under the left hand burner just after a being a year old. This was a perfect fit and already cooked on it twice with great results. Would recommend. Would have been nice if it were made out of stainless steel those are out of my budget.

Perfect fit

Pretty good value to extend the life of a grill. I will be on my third firebox on my 2 burner Char Broil Infrared grill with firebox that is from 2011 and still going strong. The firebox is obviously a wear item, but it is worth replacing every 4-5 years. I have no idea why Char Broil decided to change from the firebox design to the infrared grates on their newer models. I've heard the grates are difficult to keep clean and they always clog with grease. Note: I see some vendors that offer stainless steel versions which should last much longer if you want to spend a little extra.

Char-Broil Trough Firebox (G352-2100-W1) ..replacement fits perfectly but is definitely lighter gauge steel. The thicker original lasted almost 3 years of countless hi temp searing and grilling before if first rusted then burned thru.The screws holding everything together constantly loosen from heat expansion and cooling contraction. Even a contortionist midget would not be able to tighten them. Some actually fell out on the ground.A simple extremely low cost fix would be lock washers! Maybe 10 cents worth.That is why I gave 4 vs 5 stars. Otherwise, the value is very good (price to function and reasonable durability, we cover ours but is outside in Chicago weather year round)

Husband is hard to drag a review out of. I asked him about the product. He said it was, “fine.” I said,” It has to be 20 words for a review”. He said,” I don’t do that”. I asked if he was happy with the product, did it fit his grill, was it well made, how many stars would he give it—4 or 5? He said yes to all and 5 stars! Whew, hard work! 5 stars for my husband’s secretary (me) too!

I use the grill a few times a week and like everyone else, no matter how well I try to keep the firebox clean, the bottom rusted out. I get a few years out of one and it's much more economical to replace the box than buy a new grill

This has given new life to our grill. I'm so happy with it. The old firebox had rusted through and cooking on the grill became very difficult. I didn't want to have to buy a new grill when everything else is working just fine. I'd looked at having something made but that was looking to be a huge pain and more expensive.It doesn't seem as heavy/thick as the original, but honestly it's a fantastic deal to get some more years out of my grill. It fit perfectly.

I appreciated the early delivery. For $98 Cdn, I expected a substantial weight product. This is lightweight stamped metal and would be more reasonably in the $20 range. We need it so there’s not much we could do but buy a new BBQ so this is the necessary alternative. Shame on Char-Broil.
