The hat looks like if is constructed to do what I purchased it for, to keep my head dry. Unfortunately it does not. I wore it for the first time today. It was raining and once I removed the hat my hair was damp and my recently curled hair was flat and barely salvageable. Very disappointed. What good is a hat purchased specifically to keep my hair dry, that doesn’t keep my hair dry.

Nice hat! I love the color. Word of warning though....this has a strong odor. I thought there was a gas leak or something in my house. I kept smelling petroleum or something. I finally traced it to the hat. The smell has diminished somewhat after wearing it in the rain. Maybe a good rinsing off would help. I also went for the wide brim hoping it would keep the rain off my face. It mostly does. A bit longer would be perfect. I have a small head but I found the fit to be comfortable. It might blow off with a major gust but it was fine for 5mph winds. For the price, not bad.

I spend a lot of time outdoors for work and needed a rain hat that I can keep in my vehicle for the frequent rain showers we have here in the south. This works perfectly, the brim, unlike other rain hats, is wide enough to keep the rain off my face and glasses. It also is loose enough to not "smoosh" my hair completely and will fit over a ponytail, the downside to this is a strong wind would probably whip it right off my head if I am not careful. I only gave 4 stars because the hat was not folded/packaged along the seems but slightly off center from the front to back, causing a crease right on the front off brim. I have folded it along the seems and hopefully the unfortunate crease will work itself out.

I have an unusual peke who does not like to relieve himself in his own back yard, thus I am having to walk him in inclement weather! I needed a good waterproof hat, not my mother's! Ha! (She used to wear those flexible clear plastic, old lady ones. I'm 75, but not ready for that.) So, I ordered this hat in black. I love it! It works, cute as can be, I am ordering more colors. All because of my senior rescue peke, Bubba!

PURCHASED BECAUSE OF OTHER POSITIVE REVIEWS.HAT RRIVED QUICKLY.HOWEVER, IT WAS LARGE ON MY 22 INCH HEAD. NOT AS SHINY AS I HAD HOPED (I PURCHADED GRAY)AND WAS VERY THIN MATERIAL.NOT WORTH 17.99 AT ALL.I RETURNED MINE AND WAS REFUNDED WOTHIN HOURS. GRACIOUS COMPANY.

Love the hat. It keeps you dry. Just be prepared the vinyl stinks upon arrival. I set it outside for a week then brought it in and put it in a bag of baking powder- and then it was ok. A pain at first but at least i have a decent rain hat now.

great for drizzly England, but not blustery England

This sassy hat really blew away my low expectations!! It is nicely made and quite roomy which I was worried about for my head and hair if I have it up. The brim is long enough to keep the rain off your face and neck. I bought the bright yellow and I love the bright color! There are no ties to keep it on but it folds up quite compactly to put into a pocket and just throw on and off when needed. Perfection! So many cute colors too! I have to get another for me and a few for friends for gifts. Very handy to have on hand!

Comfy, light, on average size head with moderately thick hair.Feels attractive. Tested in light steady rain with only gentle breeze.I lost the first one and had to quickly order another : it's a must have for my life style.Doesn't mess my hair, folds easily into a pocket or bag, dries quickly, not hot and sweaty but keeps enough warmth.The wide brim is key to keeping rain away from the face and neck. As there's no strap, high winds would be a challenge. Very useful item.

I love this hat. I get very hot in winter hats and of course knitted hats get wet in the rain, this has the bonus of keeping my head cool but also dry. I bought this hat because I bought an expensive coat with an added bit to zip around baby when you are wearing them, it has a good for the baby...but not for me and I had bought the coat to go for walks whatever the weather. I chose the black version so that I will go with all of my coats. It is comfortable, fits well and folds up small enough to tuck into the changing bag.

I bought this because it is advertised as waterproof, which it is. Bought for my wife who loves yellow, it is a good fit and would fit most head sizes. Made of very tough material. Very Impressed.

It will certainly keep my head dry and I think it looks good too as well as being a very good price. However I needed to make the inner band smaller, I just used a safety pin, later I will sow it, but with this small adjustment the fit was good too.

Just replacing the one I had: waterproof rain hat with wide brim; even keep my glasses dry. Easy to fold to carry on handbag. Useful, Practical, sexy, elegant.Would be useful though if it had a way to adjust it to various size’shead
