Awesome and Cute Hot Water Bottle
Love this hot water bottle and the cozy sweater that goes with it! The bottle retains heat pretty well and stays hot and the screw-in plug is sturdy and unlikely to come out and soak you in hot water! The sweater is an additional layer between you and the bottle, which can take away from the heat aspect if your water is not quite hot enough. I typically boil water in a kettle and then let it sit and cool for a few minutes before adding it to the bottle, and I have had no issues. The only thing I don't like about it is the rubber smell that lingers on the bottle, though it is not crazy noticeable and definitely does not stop me from taking it to bed with me!

Ahh, how comforting!
I never grew up using a hot water bottle, but my husband convinced me the moist heat would be helpful for my lower back pain. Was he ever right! I have used this hot water bottle almost every day since it arrived over a month ago! It's very comforting and a very nice size for my lower back. It hasn't leaked at all and the construction feels sturdy. I like the wide mouth since it makes it easy to avoid burning myself when I pour in hot water. I do always place the lid on and gently squeeze out excess air before tightening the lid. I like it's "sweater" since it makes it very cozy and comforting. It also surprised me how long it will stay warm.

Good hot water bottle
Very nice hot water bottle, nice and thick rubber material. The cover is very thick and maybe a little overkill for the temperature that you put in the bottle. Very warm tap water is pretty much the temperature that is recommended. The only thing I did not like about this hot water bottle was that there was no tab on the closed end to hang it up to drip dry, so I improvised and just shut it loosely in the cabinet door and put a towel underneath to catch any drips. The hot water bottle functions effectively and does not leak. Good product, well made.

This is the type of bottle I knew as a small boy
Exactly what I was looking for when I searched Amazon for a Hot Water Bottle. I remember when I was a young boy approx 10 - 14 yrs old (late '60s to mid '70s) and seeing these type of hot water bottles at my grandparents home.As a kid you don't pay attention to these things, but when you become a parent or grandparent and age begins to creep up on you and it start with the pains here and there on your body then these type of stuff really matters.I bought this Hot Water Bottle hoping against hope that it is the same quality like the one I knew back in those early years and to my surprise this is the one. OH! and the rubber its made from is really a premium quality. I'm quite happy I made the right choice and will recommend it to anyone else.

May be Amazon's Choice but it's not my choice...
If you look at how this is built it has a very soft, silicon like threaded insert it the opening of the bottle. In my case, it obviously wasn't sealed in very will. It leaked around this insert... Nothing is worse than a leaking hot water bottle! The one my wife uses is a old red rubber one that must be 20+ yrs old. It has a HARD plastic insert and the plug is also hard plastic... Hasn't leaked a drop in 20 yrs. I'd NEVER buy another of these.. they just aren't very good quality. WHY pray tell, wouldn't they check to make sure it doesn't leak prior to selling it? Poor quality control...? Don't care...? Both...?

Good Material, Bad Design
I was glad to have this old-timey rubbery water bottle when it came in. I bought two of them in Jan '17. Frankly, the covers aren't very useful to me. Using a water bottle therapeutically I will just put a moist towel over it and use it on my lower back, etc. To sleep with in the sub-zero north I will just put a bit of the sheet or blanket over it.But I can't get all dewey-eyed over this bottle (jus' like grandmaws...whaaaaa) because of the flaw in the build down at the bottom where the textured lines meet the rim. Feel it. It is very thin there and after a year and a half it just split. Not ever sure how it happened. I don't have kids or dogs. Just took it out today and there it was.My aging mom has had a vintage walgreens red bottle for over 30 years now. Thirty years! Nowadays if I buy a Walgreens bottle it springs a leak every six months like clockwork. You could set the atomic clock with it. Every six months a small slit opens up. That is planned obsolescence to a "T" and it really infuriates me. Walgreens uses some type of chalky filler and the noticeably hard-textured bottles just blow out. Every six months, there goes another $17.In my opinion, for this particular bottle there is no reason for the angled heat-dissipating texture. The builders have gone overboard with this. That is the part of the manufacturing process that creates the flaw. If there is concern over getting burned then the bottle can simply be covered in some way. But, by stamping the lines into the top they have introduced a flaw into the design, and the bottle can pull apart near the rim.All of these little things in life: shoe laces, hot water bottles, socks, alarm clocks, etc - the quality is so horrible it will run you ragged trying to figure out why why why manufacturers can't just go ahead and produce something high quality and charge you double.ps I would have contacted the manufacturer before this review but amazon doesn't make it easy to do so. I couldn't find the darn button so I just went ahead and wrote this anyway.

I rested it on my stomach and felt better after just a few minutes
I had a stomach ache and wanted to get one of these hot water bottles to use because I had used them as a kid. After browsing through several of them on Amazon, I settled with the AZMED hot water bottle. The item arrived and a strong smell of plastic and chemicals hit me right when I opened the packaging. I can't complain though because of the cheap price and I wasn't expecting much. After filling it with hot water, I rested it on my stomach and felt better after just a few minutes. This hot water bottle has worked for me ever since then curing any cramps, stomach pains, or upset stomach feelings I've had. **NOTE: You should put a towel or a shirt between you and the hot water bottle especially if you are like me and pour boiling water directly into it even though the instructions say not to. If you don't do that then you'll be burned pretty badly (red marks on your body) and I'm pretty sure it's not good for your body to repeatedly get those burns.**
