Looks new again
We ordered the cognac tan balm. Our leather sectional was so discolored and faded because of our bull mastiff's drool. My husband applied the balm on the leather, and we were pleasantly surprised. The color was an exact match. The application was quick, and it dried fast. He put on a couple of coats the following day just to make sure he got all the spots that may have appeared a little lighter. This balm was great, and it saved us from buying new furniture and actually it looks new again. We ordered extra just in case we need it again. We don't want to be without it!

Pretty Amazed
I ended up buying both the the medium brown and the dark brown to mix the colors to a slightly lighter shade. Reason behind this is the sofas color is actually Mahogony brown which has a redish hue to it under the brown. I tested in less visible areas a day prior to doing the rest of the sectional and it didn’t rub off the next day so moved forward. This mixture was roughly 1/3 medium brown added to the full dark brown container to bring it about a shade lighter. In the end, I probably could have used the dark brown alone if I didn’t want to allow the red to show throughThis is a 11 year old RC Willey sectional. I had never thought about coloring it but it is at a point where I didn’t have much to lose if it didn’t look good so why not, right? Outside of fading the sofa is still in pretty good shape.I tried a couple of different application strategies starting with the microfiber cloth included which didn’t give me the result I wanted. I ended up using a medium nap microfiber paint roller that I light rolled in a y pattern and then ended up feathering with a soft bristle paint brush to remove/lighten material in areas that I wanted a little of the red to show through. I’m sure there were other ways to get the same results but in the end, I am pretty satisfied. I shouldn’t give 5 stars until I see how long it lasts but I have a new sofa where an old ugly one was sitting about an hour and a half ago so I can’t really complain. I still have a little product left and this is a pretty big sofa so for less than $40 I’d say it’s a pretty good deal. The before and after show where the most work areas were on the sofa (mostly the L and R facing arms and recliners). I had already colored the rest of the sofa when I decided to make a before and after since I was pretty amazed with the result and thought I should review. The back of the corner section is the original color.I too made the mistake others made and pulled drying product off in areas trying to go back over the section after too much time had lapsed without enough product in the roller. This would be like touching up a tacky wall with the roller. It’s a rookie mistake and not the products fault. Just have patience and let it dry completely (maybe 15 mins) before going over the same spot to touch up.The white towel is what I used to buff the sofa after using the included microfiber (damp) about an hour later to make sure any extra product was removed. I wiped the entire sofa down with the side shown in the photo. Very little residue came off.My overall opinion is that it’s a good product, little to no odor and easy to use. The only way to get better results would be to put the sofa outside and use 2 or 3 colors of spray colorant which is more in line with the way it was originally colored. This is a great fix and we’ll worth the try. Its not perfect (because I know where every little flaw is) but my wife and kids both say it looks like a new sofa now. I’m sitting in my sofa about 2 hours after completion and doesn’t stick to me any more than any other leather sofa would.

Product is amazing! Instructions and accessories make it more complicated than it should be.
The look after applying the product is no less than Amazing!! See my Before and After photos. However, the lack of details in the instructions and the accessories provided make the application more complicated than it should be.The instructions say:1) clean the surface throughly before application.2) apply directly using one of the included microfiber cloths and gloves.3) buff the surface using the other microfiber cloth included to remove excess. My problem with these instructions is that there are no specifics. As in, what are we trying to achieve with (Instruction #1) cleaning the surface throughly? Removing oils? Most people would use leather cleaner, which would have conditioning properties in it. Is that okay? Or are we trying to dry it out to make this product adhere better? (Instruction #2) apply directly how? In the same direction? Horizontally, vertically, in a circular motion like apply conditioner or polish? (Instruction #3) buff the surface and remove excess. When? After the product dries or before? Removing excess would indicate before it dries. Here's my experience. I put on one single glove of 2 sets provided. I took one of the microfiber gloves out and began applying the product in a circular motion, thinking I would be buffing off the excess before it dries. WRONG. If you go back over your area before it dries it leaves streaks, revealing the damage your trying to conceal. And do not go in a circular motion because you will see that pattern. In an effort to fix this issue, I began going side to side trying to spread the product. (SN: this product is buildable, if it doesn't cover something the first coat, coat it again after it dries). The microfiber cloth rolls up and continuously flips and flops not allowing an even spreading of the product, requiring more passes and more time to go back over it after it dries to try to make it appear a uniform application. While your cloth is rolling up on you, the glove is creeping off the ends of your fingers requiring you to adjust the glove numerous times. Also, in my experience, once the product is dry, there is no need for buffing and removing excess. I buffed the entire couch where I applied product and not a smidge of product appeared on the second microfiber cloth. Also, if you have stitching on your leather furniture that is lighter than the leather, decide in the beginning if you are avoiding it or trying to cover it to match, because once you get it on one area, you have to go around and get all of it (which in my case were areas I didn't need to cover with the product and was very time consuming having to blend the seams with the leather.)My suggestion to the company and anyone using this product is:When applying you won't need to wear gloves on both hands just your dominate hand you work with. (For the company) Instead of providing 2 sets of thin gloves that slide off while trying to apply the product, provide 1 glove that is more form fitting to hands.Update instructions to be specific, so people aren't left with questions and having to figure it out as they go, creating more work and even having to fix streaks that they create because lack of details.Remove the detail to buff the excess, unless you explain to let it completey dry. Because there is no excess once dry and if you buff before it's dry, it removes the product you want to stay on.

Simple and effective.
This restorer is surprisingly effective. It restores the colour of badly faded leather quickly. It is water-soluble when wet, so clean up after use is quite easy. The instructions indicate the leather should be cleaned before application, but gives no indication how to do that. I used old-fashioned saddle soap and that seemed fine.Perhaps the best feature is that once the product has been applied and allowed to dry for about a half hour, it doesn’t rub off on clothing. This is really important for use on furniture.

Worked Great
I wasn't sure if this product would produce results as good as the videos I had watched but I was wrong. The results were great. I only had a minor scratch to repair in a car seat. You would not be able to find the repair unless you knew where it was before. It would still be hard to identify. Very happy with the results and I'm extremely fussy about my vehicle. The process was very easy and quick for me and again it wasn't a huge scratch but it did bother me before it was repaired. I do recommend the product.

Sofa rescue.
Before: Faux leather sofa 0 : cats 1After: rescued sofa 2 : cats 1This product has saved me from having to get a new sofa - see before and after photos. Close up the surface is still uneven - to be expected as the cover was severely worn - otherwise, it's like new again.
