LeapFrog English-Chinese 100 Words Book With Learning Activity Guide

It really helped my baby learn both languages!

Bought this book for my toddler who loves books and is learning how to talk. As a parent, I LOVE the fact it has an off switch. The low volume is still a bit loud, especially when my toddler just loves turning the pages for that musical sound again and again and again... And I am very confused why the creators thought having a "deafening the parents" loud option was a good idea. But the off button is amazing. It is a bit sensitive, my toddler could accidentally brush a picture and the sound will come on. Bit confusing for him when he pokes a picture, and when dragging his finger away a different sound plays. But that may just help teach him motor skills. My only real complaint is something I did to myself. I first clicked on the English-Spanish version and then checked out the different variations of this book (animals, places, etc.). Came back to the general option with the idea that if my toddler loves it, we can get a different one later. What I didn't notice until the box arrived, is that I accidentally chose the English-Chinese edition. Debated on returning it, but by then my toddler discovered how awesome it is. Thankfully there is an English speaking option and a separate Chinese setting. Maybe we can learn Chinese together. Overall, as long as this entertains my toddler and survives his playtime, this parent is happy with this book.

Great learning toys

I like that it actually speaks the correct Chinese to my son. It really helps with trying to teach my son Chinese. I also like the book that came with it to help me find different ways to interact with my son. The only thing I wish is to have the Chinese in traditional version for writing instead of simplified version.

Perfect for our 19month old toddler who is learning both English and Chinese. Also really nice for family members who don't speak Chinese to start learning along with our toddler. Easy enough to turn it on and just let toddler play with the toy. Keeps him occupied for around 5min (which is fairly good considering he doesn't know what all the words mean yet!) Volume control is good and prevents the toy from becoming too annoying. Would buy again and recommend to others looking to teach their toddlers Chinese. Please click if this was helpful!

I bought this for my granddaughters 1st birthday. Her mom and grandparents are Chinese and they all said the Chinese was perfect. The English setting is also great. It will be a wonderful toy to help with her bi-lingual skills. I wish the pages were a bit more sturdy. At the age of 1 she can only use this book with supervision, otherwise the pages would be torn. I would buy it again, even with this small drawback. She will learn to respect the pages and take care of this book.

This is an amazing product, well designed, well made. It is worth it just to have the English version, but even. better to be bilingual! Our toddler uses it extensively, and still learns a lot and loves it. It is so solidly made and look like new despite of the "abuse" it took. We just wish there are more products like this.

My daughter bought this product for her baby girl to expose her to the Chinese language. She likes the product because it is interactive and stimulating.

Great product, comes with batteries, easy to switch from English to Chinese. Ideal for 18 months plus.
