Holds up to professional use
I've used the 12-pc version of this funnel and its various adapters for more than 6 months and it is super convenient and easy to use. I see many makes at an independent shop and only a handful of times where I couldn't use this kit. Works great on 90% of domestic, Euro, and Asian stuff with the 45 degree elbow. Volvo engines notably do not work with the 12-pc kit but the new 14-pc includes another Chrysler more importantly a Volvo adapter. It looks like they can be ordered separately from Lisle which I might do. Not sure about BMW or Mercedes specifically, but VW/Audis have a couple adapters that seem to work with most. The funnel is sturdy once attached and can hold up a quart bottle on it's own easily so I can dump one and open another in the time it takes to empty. It definitely won't hold up a 5qt jug. The included 45 degree elbow is a big help for filler necks the come up front right at the fans like Honda V6s or at the back almost under the cowl. The small cap seals OK. I put a rag between the end and the cap just in case to soak up drips. The large lid is tricky to open if you have greasy gloves/oily hands, but it can be pinched to one side to free the tabs that hold it on. No issues with the cap/lid coming loose or tethers breaking. I magnet hook mine on my box by the lid tether and seems fine.I usually put the kit on the vehicle after draining and the engine has cooled somewhat so I don't accidentally melt an adapter. They are fairly soft plastic and I did break an ear off the Toyota adapter while trying to fit it to another vehicle but repaired it with epoxy. Overall a great buy for a busy independent technician, maybe not so much at a dealer or a Euro-specific shop.

A funnel that actually does what it is suppose to without overflow or spills
this funnel set is perfect for service, I no longer have to worry about oil spills during customer oil changes

Does the job
No more spills! Old funnel used to spill and come back up on the sides if there was an air pocket…not any more. This one, adapters work great along with the funnel. I should have purchased this earlier

Very useful addition to the garage.
I have only used the GM adapter so far on my truck, but what a great addition to my garage. I either seem to have funnels that are almost too fat to fit the oil fill (but flow quickly) or ones that fir in easily and flow oil slowly. Holding a funnel upright with one hand so as not to spill any on the engine and pouring from a 5-quart jug with the other hand in a controlled manner as not to overfill the funnel or otherwise make a mess is always a pain. This fixes that problem. I still have to try the adapters for my Jeep, Lexus, Mustang, and Accord to have a complete opinion, but they look well-designed and they perform like the one for the GM did, I will be TOTALLY satisfied in every way. The funnel has a top and bottom cap to keep the inside clean between uses. You can store all the associated adapters inside the funnel as well, but unless you clean the funnel between uses, they will be sitting in an oily funnel. I decided on a box to hold everything. Great idea, well-designed adapters and very useful. A 'bit' on the pricy side for a funnel but if it saves me from one oil spill down the side of the block, it is worth every penny.

Why didn't buy this sooner?
This is a very well made American funnel set. It is not a cheap off-shore copy. I have used this for two oil changes since it arrived. I no longer have to balance the funnel on the engine. Some of my cars require me to hold the funnel while I pour in the oil taking both hands. The Lisle set only needs you to handle the oil jug. No spills, no drips, no errors. I always leave the oil jug in the funnel to get the last drops of oil out. Before the jug and funnel tipped over if everything wasn't perfectly balanced. The Lisle funnel alleviates that, with its attended mess. I must have a dozen different funnels I have purchased for oil changing, and non were exactly what I needed till now! I only wish I had bought this years ago. I would rate it more stars if I could.

Great Tool, but has limitations
This is a great idea and is suitable for most applications. The plastic isn't firm plastic, it is quite flimsy and overall wish it was a bit sturdier. The red cap for the funnel is sometime difficult to remove because it looks in with two tabs but it's not a huge deal. It holds a fairly substantial of oil and like the idea of the cap on the end to prevent drips of oil because in my shop there is thefts that like to take things. So locking up in a toolbox is a must for me and not having to worry about oil in the bottom is great. The adapters doesn't have a case or any place to store them so misplacing an adapter is very easy, i just cut the top of an old air filter box and threw them in there (out of site, out of mind and easy to throw them back.)If your someone that only works on one particular vehicle and occasionally gets different types of vehicles in then this might be a great tool but for me working on various different types of vehicles. You see the limitations of the tool. For example, the purple is for Chrysler vehicles, the adapter only works on newer Chrysler vehicles. It doesn't work on older ones with the screw type. Using the Toyota or Nissan ones isn't an option because it doesn't fit securely, i tired and oil went everywhere from the bottom. The black one for GM, has also limitations and it doesn't work on all models. I have encountered some that do not fit for some reason. Some older Ford's won't work with the adapter's either. Using the funnel by itself with no adapter doesn't work because it will tip over so you have to remove the clear plastic to use it.The tool also doesn't have adapters for other models such as Kia, Hyundai, Mitsubishi which these are common vehicles on the road. Even making additional adapters to buy would be great for these but unfortunately they do not exist. I would be very careful with the adapters as they are plastic and hot engines because they will melt. Overall, i am satisfied with the product and would recommend it as it is useful and does provide ease of filling but it does have some disadvantages.

Great investment
Great quality tool, being Lisle as expected. Multi vehicle adapters help in avoiding those messy oil spills.

50/50
The funnel is a little small, didn’t have any caps for Mitsubishi and a few other makes and models. Nissan X-Trail T31 comes to mind. The hooks for the caps are not very secure and come out, they went in the bin. I used it for a good 2 to 3 weeks in a busy workshop. I ended up dripping oil the drains into the red cap on the funnel and when that hangs oil comes out. The idea was good wish they had a bigger funnel and caps for every make and model. The lid on the funnel was a good idea, you can start the car without risk of oil going everywhere. But I just stop using it because it wasn’t convenient enough than a standard funnel and I didn’t even get a black elbow in the kit.

Very comprehensive set.
Haven't come across a car I couldn't use it on yet. Only thing that could improve it would be a straight extension, but I haven't needed one yet. Overall excellent value for professionals and diy techs.
