I love this pen. I can't review the ink from Pilot because I immediately dumped the ink out of a cartridge and filled this pen with Noodler's Black Waterproof. I use this pen on archival genealogy charts. The .5 mm tip is great for filling out large amounts of data into small spaces....like an ancestor's complete name or place of birth with the town, county, country in Standard Genealogical Format.

The pen has refills, thus minimising waste. It arrived on time. The ink flow is smooth and clear. No smears.

Decent pen that could be more durable. Ink formulation is rather thin and causes bleeding and feathering on lighter papers.

Best liquid ink roller ball pen ever purchased. I bought both V5 and V7 cartridge system pens in all 4 colors from a different site. Also bought them for gifting. These pens are so great that I think it would be helpful for those who are interested in these pens and haven't yet decided to make the purchase. I own various fountain pens and liquid ink roller ball pens. The Pilot V5/V7 cartridge systems are the best. You do not need to dispose the ink cartridge after it's emptied. The opening of the cartridge is big enough that you could refill with your favorite liquid ink using an eye dropper. I have refilled my the pens (for all 4 colors) with my favorite liquid ink. The pen even works great with Noodler's Bay State Blue ink, which has a unique chemical mix and it's not supposed to mix with non-Bay State inks, including residual ink of an emptied cartridge. I refilled with the Bay State Blue several times already, still writes as smooth as new! The description of the Pilot V5/V7 cartridge systems indicates that you can refill with their own brand ink 10 times and still writes smoothly. If these pens could refill with the Bay State Blue 10+ times, I will be beyond thrilled!!

I too own many fountain pens in several different nib sizes. I also own a Noodlers Ahab roller ball pen. These Hi-Tec V cartridge system pens are amongst the very smoothest writing experiences available. Unlike a fountain pen, which is fussy about how you’re holding the nib, this roller ball writes smoothly at any angle, without skipping and ink bubbling out the tip. It opens up the whole wide world of bottled fountain pen ink — just refill the cartridge with a syringe containing your favorite ink. Others have converted it to an eye dropper. One thing this pen will not provide is line variation. They lay down a line with a consistent width; the V5 equating to a fine and the V7 a medium. The price being offered here is ridiculously expensive. These pens are available at a third of this price elsewhere. I highly recommend them.

Väldigt trevligt att skriva, rita med. Passar fint i handen, riktigt kvalité produkt. Och avsevärt billigare än hos många andra försäljare. Även om det var lite strull med leveransen Amazon, som alltid, fixade det galant!

Questa è la versione ricaricabile (con alimentazione a cartuccia) della storica penna roller Pilot V5/V7. Punta da 0.5mm, il tratto corrisponde a quello di una penna a sfera standard di tipo "fine". Pilot dichiara che per produrre la penna arriva ad utilizzare fino al 71% di plastica riciclata, inoltre il fatto che la penna non sia usa e getta ma ricaricabile diminuisce ulteriormente l'impatto ambientale della stessa. La scrittura risulta scorrevole e leggera, anche se la sfera ogni tanto "gratta" un po' il foglio, il tratto risulta sempre preciso. Anche su carta di scarsa qualità scrive bene, senza spiumaggi ne trapassi del foglio, l'inchiostro è super quick dry, ovvero in meno di 3 secondi risulta già secco, una manna dal cielo per i mancini. Rispetto alla versione non ricaricabile il fusto della penna risulta di diametro leggermente maggiore, ma la comodità non ne risente. Il sistema di caricamento è semplicissimo, basta svitare il fusto inserire la cartuccia e premere fino a sentire il "tac" di incastro, a questo punto la penna è pronta. La confezione contiene una penna con 1 cartuccia già inserita e una scatolina di cartone con altre tre cartucce. Cosenga nei tempi indicati, amazon al solito efficientissima. PRO: Scrive bene, sempre, inchiostro che si asciuga velocemente, nessun salto durante la scrittura, nessuno spiumaggio, macchie, trapassi, sono già alla quarta cartuccia e scrive sempre perfettamente. Impugnatura abbastanza comoda, scrive bene anche con penna piuttosto inclinata rispetto al foglio. Sistema a cartucce comodissimo, le cose "usa e getta" mi sono sempre state un po' sulle scatole per via dello spreco, questo sistema di ricarica mi piace. BONUS PRO: ATTENZIONE: ho fatto questo esperimento come si vede dalla foto, le cartucce usate possono essere ri-utilizzate di nuovo dopo averle lavate con normalissima acqua, basta riempirle con inchiostro da stilografica usando una normale siringa. Io ho usato un inchiostro waterman rosso, e la penna se lo è digerito senza nessun problema. Ovviamente se cambiate colore dell'inchiostro il risultato sarà una tonalità "strana" (nero+rosso a me è uscito un rosso spento), ma se usate un colore simile non avrete problemi. La penna dopo l'esperimento scriveva normalmente senza alcun problema. Questo permette di abbattere i costi di gestione in quanto ogni cartuccia può essere ricaricata di nuovo e usata almeno un altra volta (forse anche più volte, bisogna vedere quanto regge l'imboccatura della cartuccia che essendo di plastica si deformerà a ogni togli e metti). CONTRO: Dato che le cartucce non contengono molto inchiostro (la versione non ricaricabile contiene molto più inchiostro di una cartuccia, quasi il doppio) e il costo della penna e delle cartucce è più elevato della versione usa e getta, a conti fatti risulta più costosa dellla versione usa e getta, quindi alla fine spenderete un po' di più, ma rispetterete di più l'ambiente. La punta risulta delicata, quindi ricordatevi di chiuderla sempre col cappuccio se non la usate, se vi cade per terra di punta probabilmente non scriverà più. La costruzione sebbene funzionale risulta un po' "leggerina" rispetto alla versione usa e getta che sembra più robusta e durevole, la clip del tappo è in plastica finto cromata, non in metallo. Se volete comprare altre cartucce di ricambio oltre quelle in omaggio nella confezione, tali cartucce comprate singolarmente saranno ancora più costose che comprate insieme alla penna... assurdo! Considerazioni finali, ottima penna, precisa, affidabile, un vero piacere da usare, green, ma un po' costosetta rispetto alle versioni usa e getta. Ma se utilizzate la strategia di ricaricare le cartucce usate con l'inchiostro della stilografica allora il costo di utilizzo a lungo andare viene abbattuto. Durata della punta: Non so, adesso dopo quattro cartucce (di cui una ricaricata con la siringa) la penna scrive ancora perfettamente, quindi per ora non si vedono segni di usura.

Fine point and smooth writing experience. Ink is also awesome -- I really like the effortless writing of liquid ink pens. I am very loyal about pens and I do not want to write with other pens than mine so because it is refillable I do not need to change pens -- which also makes sense economically and environmentally. Personally, this is my favorite.

Les stylos Pilot étaient toujours de très bonnes qualités et la finesse de leur écriture était en mon sens déjà parfaite, mais le fait de créer une version rechargeable de ce stylo a fini de me convaincre.
