Complete lack of information that you really need before buying.
It will work well in the right situation. The most important thing to know is what height of wall you need to mount it comfortably. A fairly standard garage wall, which what I was fixing mine to, is 26x courses of bricks in height. This means the top holes in the top bracket have to be drilled into the very last (highest) course of brick which, also means, having to do a cut out of the weather board holding the gutter. The result of this is, if you're 5ft 9 like me, you need to duck a little when walking under the outer edge of the parasol and your head only just clears the highest point under the middle of it. There should be guidance on this in the description. I estimate you really need a further 3 courses of brick to mount it and more the taller you are.The other main point is the hole size required for the expanding bolts is not given, even in the pictorial instructions supplied, as like the above. I opted for 12mm and I feel the size of the fixings is over the top and even with a decent 12mm masonry drill, you need to waggle a bit to clear brick dust out of the holes. The fixings don't need to be so big, although they are Very solid once tightened.I don't know what the ones priced £100, £200+ more than this one are like for guidance on fitting but, is it worth paying that much more for better instructions ? I doubt the quality the parasols are any better than this one from studying the pictures, in fact, most seem identical. So, to sum up. This is a very good parasol with very good coverage, 8x strong ribs, very solid when fitted and at a good price. It's just the total lack of basic essential information that lets the product down. One other important point regarding fitting. You will need to claim one bracket (i.e. drill off one bracket) and fit it before claiming the second one's position. And also, it's designed to either stay on the wall or be completely removed including brackets.Hope this helps anyone thinking of buying any wall mounted parasol.

Okay for what I need
This wall mounted parasol is perfect for what I needed it. To use it in sunny weather or when it gently rains over my decking area. The downside is it is not suitable for strong winds jut gently breeze and also not suitable for heavy rain. Also all the moving joints are plastic parts that I would imagine won’t last long in UV sunlight . Too bad are not made from aluminium as the rest of the tubing frame is metal and will outlive the flimsiest parts.

Poor fitting instructions and flimsy winding handle
Brolly arrived when they said it would and was promptly installed by my husband it looked great and did exactly what we wanted however due to the changing weather it was put up and taken down twice then yesterday the sun came out the brolly went up everything lovely that was until we tried to wind it in and the handle stoped working whist said brolly was half closed we eventually managed to wind it out and there it sits as it won’t wind in!!!!!

Don’t buy it
This too weak for its purpose. It broke in a light breeze only the third time I used it. I have asked for my money back a week ago but am still waiting for a response.
