Spektrum Firma 160A Brushless Smart ESC / 1250Kv Sensorless Motor Combo, SPMXSEMC06, Black

The ESC is great value (not cheap) and offers a notable performance bump over the Firma 150. I typically run castle systems, but decided to stick with OE when upgrading my Arrma Felony. So far, a decent bump in low end grunt. Running a 23t pinion on 6s, I’m getting ~61mph with headroom regarding temperature (133f hard running in 65f ambient).One area to be cautious of is the packaging. I found some knicks on my esc wire when I got got the package.

This kit was purchased to go in a Kraton 8s exb. Install was nice and easy.I'm still fairly new to the hobby, so here was my blunder: I ordered a set of cheap batteries for this truck with this combo. It left a lot to be desired. So definitely get a high quality set of batteries. With new batteries, this combo can flip this 30+ pound truck onto its lid from a standing start.Definitely recommend this kit, if you get good batteries t go with it.

I started using the spektrum products when dealing with the aviation side if the hobby. So I figured why not try it in the xmaxx. OMG it's plug and play, runs smooth as butter with a bunch of tuning options otb. Expected nothing less from spektrum and am still impressed.

Let me first say I'm a spectrum fan and love thier rc stuff.. it always top of the line just like castle creations and tp motors.. these 3 brands are the best as I have a lot of 14 rc cars/trucks, 6 drones, and 2 boats in the rc hobby. I love these hobbys and they are a great bonding and building experience. But any ways This thing is a beast and huge. Putting it in my 1/7th mojave. Had to do alittle modifications to make esc to fit nicely, prepare to drill wholes and have some rc screws and bolts. This thing is huge and says achievable speeds of 100mph+We shall see. Will update later after I get it all installed and running. Can't wait.

I put this setup in my Arrma Infraction V1. I can't say enough at how perfect this is for the infraction. It should have come with this from the factory. With the optional large gear installed it's a straight basher and barely even gets hot. Save your money for tires though. It's way to much fun. One thing to mention with the optional pinion gear and everything stock. With 8s it still only gets a little over 80mph. Personally I think it would love a few teeth more on the pinion and some faster gear ratios installed. You will not be disappointed with this setup. 2 thumbs up 👍👍
