When my famous brand name joiner self-destructed (not long after the spindle nut froze on the spindle, preventing blade changes), I knew one thing- I was not replacing this under-utilized, prima donna tool.Enter this router bit. It cuts slots just as well with far less fussing over setup. I cut a bunch of slots to join skirting boards together and every cut was dead on. And at this price, I could replace them monthly for years before I come up to the cost of the joiner it replaced. I could not be happier.

If using for cutting biscuit slots with a handheld router, you'll probably want a wide sub base, as the large diameter bit means the router motor is entirely overhanging the work piece when starting the cut. You will need to ensure the bit isn't fully seated in the collet if you're slotting the center of the edge of a 3/4" it thicker board, or the collet nut may strike your wood at full depth of cut (it's larger diameter than the bearing).Note that no. 20 biscuits are wide than the diameter of this bit, so you'll need to route a longer slot.

I bought this and some #20 biscuits for joining some butcherblock. Super happy with how smoothly it cut through my hard wood !

It arrived on time and was what I ordered. It works well. As to how long it will last, only time in use will establish that.

I had never used a biscuit for gluing wood together so I ordered this bit and a bag of biscuits, a lot because of price. It worked fantastic. It is very sharp and made slots in 3/4” pine with no problem. I think it will last a long time and am very pleased with it.

I did not give a durability rating because I have not used the bit a lot. It does seem to be good quality rotor bit. I have used it to make biscuit slots and the bit has done a good job. This is new skill for me. You do not know what you can do until you try. I would recommend this rotor bit and it costs less than other places for the same thing.

Cutter worked well for around 12 cuts, but one of the 3 carbide cutters fell off in the middle of a cut. This is my second bad experience with Yonico router bits.

Nice and easy to use. Cuts clean and accurate, no wobble or any such.

This is quite a wide diameter cutter so care needs to be taken in fitting it into the router

For the price and performance I can't complain. I mostly only purchase Freud bits but since i was only cutting biscuit slots I didn't wanna spend the $$$. I was pleasantly surprised the cutting performance of this BIT. Would purchase it again. Nice clean cutting bit.

Great alternative to buying a biscuit joiner, if you have a limited amount of joints to make, and you have a router table, this will work great. Only issue, you can’t just plunge your work into the bit, you have to travel a bit as well, but that no big deal. And the bit itself seems of high quality, and has a 1/2” shank, for strength.

The item was received promptly and without issue. I don't have a biscuit joiner so decided to purchase this router bit. Laminated several boards and had no issues with this router bit.
