The Love Approach is a great program. I use it quite often. I ordered the book expecting a good in-depth detail on this program. I didn’t realize that this was a very small book written in the small group format. I was disappointed. However, I do like the program, just want a book with more substance.

This book is incredibly helpful in learning how to listen selflessly to truly understand what other people are trying to communicate. When you listen fully, you can help problem-solve effectively while showing that you honestly care.I read a lot of parenting and leadership books - I like how this book puts a method into a narrative so you can walk through real-world ways of implementation.

This book provides a wonderful understanding of the common communication blocks that keep us from being fully present to others and enjoying the deeper relationships that result from great listening habits.One of the strengths of THE LOVE APPROACH is its thoughtful reflection questions, role-playing suggestions, and learning exercises. Now that I’ve read the book, I see that it’s ideal for small group sharing.

Excellent book. I would recommend to anyone in management to better their managerial skills.

Being familiar with The Love Approach course and training manual, I was pleasantly surprised to see the same concepts turned into a story that highlights four people and their relationships. Seeing the characters grow in their abilities (especially their ability to communicate better through listening) is very demonstrative of the concepts that Peggy has been teaching for all of these years. If you would like to revamp your style of interacting with others, this book would be a great place to start.
