It's more my fault. I thought it was regular size bricks. They are micro sized. Cute design, I really liked it but not for my collection. Also, it's not for people with sausage fingers!

It's good fun and a challenge if like lego type things. The pieces are all small, and the directions while good could be better, the colors on the directions and the bricks could be a bit better differentiated and a bit clearer. The directions are on a poster style instead of in a book,more than once I got confused looking so hard for one tiny piece you get back to the poster aaand you're lost.

This mini-brick set is wonderful! The bricks, about half the size as standard Lego, are primarily high quality ABS plastic, with a few acrylic bits for windows. The bricks are NOT compatible with full-sized Lego bricks. Included is a well organized full color step-by-step assembly instruction sheet, a sheet of stickers, plus a cloth apron for the cook. (This Sushi restaurant is very close to "O" scale model railroads, if you happen to have a bullet train layout.) And as I've shown in the photos, there's a full interior, plus the place can be folded in half if you prefer an enclosed building. The photos tell the story.

Smaller than regular lego, but so well designed and adorable. Pieces are fiddly, so I would not recommend for a small child. I loved it and it will make a super cute addition to my room.

This is a good little building set for display, has great colors and good building techniques throughout. With that said, it is a mixed bag.First, these are MICRO bricks. They are 25% smaller than LEGO bricks, which makes them more challenging to assemble. I would not recommend this set for kids as the smaller parts might be harder for them to handle and they may get frustrated, plus they could be a possible choking hazard.Because of the size I wouldn't call this a play set, just for display after being built. It reminded me of building a small model car in 1/48 scale, so I would recommend this for teens and adults.Second, none of the bags are numbered, so I would suggest using a large bin to dump all the parts out and sort them to make finding specific parts easier. The instructions were tricky at first too, so the whole process took about 4 or 5 hours total.Also, some of the bricks don't stay together, so I used a small amount of super glue to keep them from slipping apart in a few spots. Especially with the mini-dolls hair piece. Couldnt get it to stay on. Otherwise the set is fairly sturdy once finished.When it comes to the stickers, they're decent quality, but I used a modeling knife on a few to get the placement right.Overall, a good set for the money. Not great, but good. Hence the 4 stars.Happy building!

Wow, first off what a great set! Quality wise, This thing is as close to lego as you can get. The pieces all fit together very snug and snapped into place, in fact some fit so well it was even better than lego. The biggest (or smallest!) drawback is that the pieces are tiny! This is NOT a set to buy for your child! Or put together with your girlfriend, or grandma or anyone else... you'll need to put this thing together after dark, by nightlight like you're hiding in Aushawitz, because if anyone knocks these pieces on the ground...that's it, they disappear.All that said, I am so glad I bought this! I have enjoyed it so much and the end product looks incredible.

I was hesitant to order this, not knowing if I was in for a “what I ordered/what I got” sort of bamboozle, but I should have ordered more sets because this is fantastic! They’re not kidding about the “mini” part, but the details are extraordinary and the whole thing is unbelievably cute.Obviously these are not Legos, but the variety of sets available and the price make them an excellent alternative.

Bought this for my wife and she loved it! It's amazingly detailed. The octopus moves, there are cupboards and storage areas inside the shop. Definitely looks like an authentic takoyakki shop. Makes me wish I was back in Osaka! It's also nice and compact so it can sit on her collectable shelf without taking up too much space. Really a great set!
