Great for building "forts"!
My two granddaughters (grades 1st and 6th grades) love these! They started out with a smaller set and I bought more to add to the first set so they could build HUGE forts. The only reason I only gave them 4 stars is because if you pile too many quilts (you need lighter fabric covers) the fort would collapse in the middle. So we're looking for used king-sized sheets. They'll be able to build forst outside this spring.

Smart, fun, simple
Super easy to assemble. The instructions don't have a tutorial so hopefully you or your children are good at figuring it out / basic geometry. I am mad this wasn't a thing when I was a child, however due to literally infinite possible build combos, I've made a fort large enough for me too. Bought a flat queen size sheet to cover it, not large enough. I suggest ordering two boxes as the rod tips can pop or break easy, plus the more you have the larger and more complex things you can build. Absolutely the coolest thing my child owns ( in my opinion ). Definitely fun and great hands on learning activity.

Fun toy but kind of a pain
The reason I purchased this set over others was the "lock in" style of the ends. It does stay locked in place! However, this makes it kind of a pain to disassemble (my fingers hurt for hours after pinching the ends) and my 6 year old broke 2 ends when he tried to pull it apart himself. We use sheets to cover it when assembled as I'm worried that heavier blankets might cause too much stress. It is really fun and plenty big for kids to play in, but I was definitely disappointed that 2 rods are already useless after just a couple days of use.

Good alternative to couch cushions
Easy to assemble and pretty sturdy, a bit tough to take apart. My 7 year old son has fun with it, just wish it had an option for a blanket covering that is big enough to cover it, standard sheets and such are too small

Decent for the price
The only downside would be if the plastic rods were thicker it would be more sturdy. It come with little caps for the end of the rods so that they stick into the connector (balls?). Not all of them wanted to stay connected to the poles.

The connectors at the end of the strick break easily
The kids love building and playing with this toy but the connectors at the end of the sticks break easily. We had this product a few weeks and have broken 3 connectors and I can seen other connectors are ready to fall off. I fear this product will not last long. This is the first fort kit I have purchased so I wonder if they all have this problem.

fun for the grandson
The only negative thing about it is when you take it apart some of the pieces break. But overall it it fun for a five year old boy

Cute.
One of the pieces came broken when I opened up the box. Not very sturdy. Hard for a 5 year old to assemble.
