It looked really nice right out of the box. I plugged in the supplied USB-C cable and power adapter to a wall outlet, inserted it into the USB-C input port and immediately smelled burnt circuitry.I unplugged everything, waited a minute or so, hit the power button, and was greeted by a short burst of flames and more smoke.Amazon is addressing via their replacement process. I'm a little skeptic as, for a moment there, I felt like I was holding a lithium ion bomb.I'll come back and update this review when the replacement arrives.11/11/20My replacement arrived and is working without issue. I remain concerned about processes such as QA but am satisfied my specific issue has been addressed.

The media could not be loaded.  This is our second Rugged Geek Power Supply. We’ve got the previous model as well. It’s been used so much that we need a second one. I got this second one to keep in our family vehicle for emergencies. I have used it to jump start my mower and other vehicles. My family has used it at amusement parks, the beach, hiking, motorcycling, camping or just in the back of our SUV for kids devices. They work great! I really like the design and compactness. This new model also has wireless charging, so that will be easier! In our experience the battery can charge a handful of devices and still have juice left over. Of course it’s very powerful because it can jump start a 7.0L gas or 3.5L diesel engine!

I received my item timely from Amazon. The product appeared well built, was compact in size and accessories. I charged the item to 100% then attempted to use it on two pieces of equipment that had batteries that were weak but would still turn over.The first machine was a Bobcat 553 skid steer with a 1.1 liter diesel. The RG1200 added nothing and after a handful of starting attempts, even in emergency mode, did not start the small diesel. The display of reserve went from 100% to 60% in just moments.The second machine I attempted to jumpstart was a CubCadet riding mower with a 550cc gas motor. The RG1200 nearly started it but discharged to 5% before I aborted the attempt. I recharged the RG1200 and attempted again, but the same result came about.I used a Dewalt 1000 jump box to start both the Bobcat and the CubCadet afterwards, and noted that even though the Dewalt was of lesser specifications on starting power it got the job done.I comminicated to Rugged Geek my opinion that either my specific unit was defective or there was an issue with false advertising. I asked that my unit be replaced and exchanged under warranty, and after a full week of back and forth without satisfaction from Rugged Geek, decided to just return it to Amazon. Amazon made a prompt refund.Since then I have not found this product on Amazon since and surmise that this may be a product advertised dubiously: "capability to start a 3.5 liter diesel engine...."Rugged Geek did not want to honor the warranty directly with me even though I provided a copy of my receipt. I find this to be a questionable business practice and am thankful that my dealings with this company are over.Buyer beware.

This is my second rugged geek jumper pack and I must they the company never fails to amaze me. The RG1200 is sleek and compact and packs a lot of power. I’ve used this jumper pack numerous times over the past 3 weeks and it has yet to fail me. Unlike others this pack is very simple to use you can practically keep it anywhere. I definitely rate this product a 10 out 10.

I bought this to put in my car in case I needed a jump start but I quickly found out that this has many more uses. This makes a great backup to charge my cell phone and tablet while I am traveling. It has enough power to run my laptop as well. I think the best part of having this in my car is just the peace of mind that it gives me. I don’t have to worry about waiting in parking lots or along side of the road if my car needs a jump start. I would highly recommend this product.

Bought this last week and it bailed me out already. Light bar inadvertently got switched on while 4 wheeling in the desert and drained the battery in my UTV. 2 minutes later we were back on the road.The new 1200 with wireless charging is really convenient. No more cords to forget to pack.

I bought this Rugged Geek RG1200 because I needed to have a jumper for both my truck and my motorcycle. I read reviews on many different brands and I felt this was the best model out there as a complete package. Carrying case is very durable and zipper seems of great quality. Everything fits in the carry case easily and stays organized. I like the fact that this jumper has a wireless phone charger on it so when I am at the motocross track or in a bind, I can charge my phone.I just got this a few weeks ago and I have already used it to jump a guys truck that his battery was dead at the track.If you are looking for a good jump starter, I would seriously take a look at this product.
