I covered my plants right before the snowpocalypse in Texas in February 2021. The plants were covered for a week. I lost a couple of broccoli flowers but all my plants survived the deep freeze. I have broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts and cauliflower. I fretted all week and was very pleased when I could finally uncover my garden to reveal only minor damage. If these sheets could protect my garden in this deep freeze, I know they can protect through any normal Texas winter. I strongly recommend them.

I have a community garden box and here in South Texas we can't plant in July/August because it's too hot. The winters are usually mild enough to grow lettuces, cauliflower etc but we do occasionally with some frost. Keeping the frost off the posts are the difference between harvesting a crop and wasting a season in the garden. Our winters are usually mild and sunny with temps in the low 40's/high 30"s. Some protection is needed but not requiring a lot of support and attention. This product is perfect for all our requirments and with a wire snap pea support at 1 end of my garden bed it came in a large enough package to cover the entire bed. What a great and timely product for my garden.

See note at end.We purchased this frost cloth after the devastating Texas freeze in February 2021. We lost quite a few front yard landscape plants that were borderline OK in our USDA zone. We ended up replacing them with a variety that is more frost tolerant. A predicted hard freeze last night made us take out the frost cloth and put it over those plants in our front yard, just to be on the safe side.This is a very long piece of frost cloth, so we were able to cut off a piece to use for a plant elsewhere in our yard. The cloth comes with stakes that have nice, sharp points. We used the stakes to secure the cloth, paying special attention to the north side of the garden. We also placed some heavy statuary items on parts of the cloth.By morning, many of the parts of frost cloth secured by the stakes had torn away, leaving our plants exposed. The wind simply was too strong for this cloth. Parts of the cloth that hadn't torn completely away from the stakes had holes. We have a weather station, so know that the wind gusted up to 29 mph once, with sustained winds of about 12 mph. Had we not used the statuary, the cloth likely would have blown down the street.This cloth would likely be just fine for frost protection without wind. It simply didn't work well for us in last night's conditions. If you will be using this cloth (or others of similar strength) in the wind, try putting large rocks or other heavy objects in place to secure it.Addendum: the seller read this review and sent me a thicker frost cloth free of charge. I am impressed, and upped my rating to 4 stars!

I have multiple vegetable gardens spread throughout my property and have bought multiple plant insulation covers this year. While the material is great, the cost is not. You can get twice as much product and the same quality of you dpnt buy stakes. These stakes are a scam. They are 4 inches tall and useless, I'm guessing most people think this a frame for your garden. Dont buy.

I was disappointed in this product. I thought it would come with the rods to hold it up and give it structure. It is just the white fabric and stakes. Imagine the Halloween spiderweb material…this is that material. I am horrified by the thought of how many bugs will be stuck in it. Just use a sheet.

Nice weight to this fabric, easy to work with. The fabric pin that came with it big plus these are large and sturdy.

Bought this to protect by square foot garden and it did not. Temp was 28 overnight and cloth was doubled and plants still froze. Very disappointed. Did not perform as advertised!
