😠 It breaks easily
Terrible design flaw, only used a handful of times and looked after it but this head torch is weak around the base. Not happy.

Worst technic product design i have ever seen
Who did this? Three hard edges are directly pressed against your head and into the skin. The head band is the worst. You can't really adjust it and if you solve the puzzle it re-adjusts itself as soon as you take it off. Unfortunately the adjustments are not symmetrical like in the product pictures. One side is longer than the other and because of that it fits only very small heads (56cm and under i guess), but it will always stay asymmetrical. And because of that the cable of the battery pack is always bend extremely. Not like a bit, it's bend to a degree where it covers the safety light and that's at a average male head (56 cm). If you have a bigger sized head the battery pack can not stay in the center of the back of your head. Wtf? I'm absolutely disappointed. Who in their right mind did this and why didn't he/she add a crown of thorns? Maybe this would be more comfortable. Also the battery pack rattles around if the headband doesn't sit tight because there is a gap between the head and the battery pack. And because you that tight fit the pain from the hard edges increases. Also you can't fit the band properly since the cable arrangement in the cord doesn't allow proper adjustments. And even if you found the sweat spot – well, there isn't really a sweat spot – the band adjusts itself back to something else as soon as you take the lamp off. So you have to do it again every time and it takes minutes because it starts to hurt very quickly if it sits a little bit to tight and it rattles if it sits a little bit too loose and you have to adjust both adjustments at the same time otherwise the one band at the back will be longer than the other and than the battery pack would be loose and rattle or the other would be folded under the other and you would feel this as one more pressure point. But even if you managed it the lamp still sits uncomfortably and starts to hurt after a few minutes. There are several good ideals like the silicone on the inside of the band, but it doesn't make sense if there is room between the band and the head on several points and if there are hard edges pressed into the skin. Also the lamp itself is really great, but due to the one edge of the backside of the lamp where they added a thick padding it doesn't sit straight. It always shines to the right. Wtf again! They don't show you this on the product pictures. And why are there several plastic parts exposed in the first place? Those put large pressure on very small parts of your head. Why? Why? Why? No other head lamp manufacturer does this – for a reason!Again: who did this? Did SILVA fire the product designer or do they keep him because he works for free?Does SILVA want to hurt the customers? And if this is SILVA's solution to the cable problem: stop it immediately! The previous generation came without those pressure points, why didn't they keep it that way? Also why does SILVA show a symmetrical adjustment design and a straight cable and then they don't deliver it as shown. It's way off. Even if you take a childs head (40cm) the cable would not sit flush. You would need a head of 35cm or less – that's what an average baby head measures at birth.Every cheap head lamp does a better job at comfort. This is so bad, i can't believe that there are positive voices on youtube – ok, several got the product for free for testing or as a present in exchange for a review, maybe that's the reason – i don't know. And this is supposed to be a premium product. I haven't seen such a bad premium product ever and i love tech and buy a lot of tech. The packaging is nice though.I'm sorry but this is really bad product design. It looks good, it has premium materials and a top notch lamp, but it doesn't work due to a really bad product design and obviously no quality control.Added after contact to SILVA customers support:In the packaging SILVA asked you to post on Instagram or some online platforms to share your experiences IF YOU ARE SATISFIED. If you are not satisfied they ask you to contact the customer service.I did both despite the fact i'm not happy with the product.1. that's a shady way to ask for positive online feedback – but it explains why a lot of people shared there positive view about this lamp2. I did contact the SILVA support team via Twitter – no response. Then i described the problem to the SILVA support via Mail and asked if i had bad luck with my head lamp or if all the head lamps come with asymmetrical adjustments. Their answer: "Pls go back to the store where you bought the headlamp".So how should amazon know about it? I asked them this and asked again if this is normal or if i should have it replaced and their second reply was: "This is our policy to go back for the customers where they bought the product".So, they where no help and out of curiosity i ordered a second one and had the same exact problems and the adjustments where exactly as asymmetrical as before. So, i think it's a good idea to share this with you.I'm sure SILVA is capable of producing great products as the have in the past and hopefully will in the future, but this is really bad. Thanks for reading!

Great overall, but got a defective unit
Fit and lamp itself is very good. But there are drawbacks:USB-rechargeable hybrid battery (1.15Ah) became loose in the battery case and was constantly going off. This made me return the unit.Another drawback is the promised battery life with AAA batteries - in reality you will get about 2-2.5 hrs in good temp. conditions at 400 lumens, even with top quality Eneloops. Advertised was 25 hrs, which is impossible. Same would go for 200 lumens mode - I would expect something similar to the li-ion battery, like 5 hrs (advertised - 50 - no way). And Silva know that, because they offer the option of a big 4Ah battery (the Ultra variant).
