When used daily making smoothies with frozen fruit, this unit only lasts about 4 months. Seal is okay but must be thoroughly washed regularly to maintain water-tight seal. Shaft seal is what is failing - in other words, the blades do not turn freely, this places more strain on the motor.

The blades are configured a bit different than the original part & leaves some unblended ingredients(yogurt) on the side of the cup but all the ingredients are blended without leaving any chunks. A spatula easily incorporates the sides.

I like the price and it is sturdy. Only drawback is the gasket seems to be a little too thick. when screwed on tight, I need to push the cup assembly down hard and hold it down for the motor interlock to spin the blades, never used to have to do that.

My original blade attachment was seizing up now and then, and I was worried the motor might burn out if I kept using it, so I was glad to find a replacement unit here on Amazon. It's shaped almost the same as the stock Ninja attachment, but I do have to apply extra downward force to activate the blender start mechanism. That said, this replacement actually runs quieter than the original. I'm happy to be able to keep using my Ninja...it's a workhorse blender. Certainly worth the $15.00 to keep it in service!
