it works
we don't have to use it after a few times, as soon as she sees the device she stops barking

NOT BARK ACTIVATED
I'm sure it is great, BUT this one is not bark activated, it is hand-held and YOU Push the button. I thought I was ordering the original Barker Breaker that is bark activated, and had used before - and that one worked. I need the one that hangs on the fence and emits its sound when the dog barks. My fault for not reading/realizing this wasn't the one I thought it was.

Not useful as a training tool for my Chihuahua
My experience with this handheld siren is that it gets the attention of my Chihuahua and then he tries to out-volume the barker breaker. The chihuahua screams whenever it is alone. It does not stop until he tires in about 10 minutes. That is just a rest because he'll start up again once rested and he gets a drink of water. He is persistent and that renders the barker breaker useless as a training tool for him. After 4 weeks I'll continue to try to use this, but I'm pretty sure we're done with the Barker Breaker.

Barking makes me MAD
My neighbors have 4 to 5 terriers. They bark at EVERYTHING. I have spoken to them regarding this to no avail. In the past, I had borrowed a Barker Breaker and it worked IMMEDIATELY. Now I decided to buy one. It came quickly. Makes the appropriate sound. I wish I could report the mutts are quiet. I can't. They seem not to hear the sound or bark more. I don't care. I will continue to try.Wish me luck-(or that the neighbors get rid of their dogs. ;-) )

Highly recommend this product
My very barky Sheltie as improved 90% over his ridiculous barking for crazy reasons. I am careful not to abuse it too - as he is very important to me (and sensitive as Shelties are) and I don't want to completely break him! He just is respecting me a whole lot more. I like this so much more than something attached to his neck - much more humane and upon reading other reviews, sometimes automatic ones go off during normal noises and that seems cruel.Sue

It's all good. This thing actually works
This thing actually works. We have a neighbour who's dog will not shut up. The neighbour is so proud of how his dog barks all day long at anything and although several people have complained to him he proudly does nothing about it. Barker Breaker shuts doggie up immediately. Instead of a voice command (which could be heard) I tap on a window pane with a pen to attract Rover's attention and then I blast him. After about six or seven different occasions, now when Rover barks I only have to tap on the pane and he shuts up. The neighbour is confounded. It's all good. This thing actually works. Doggie is about 10 to 15 yards away from my firing point and has become much quieter. When doggie starts to act up, a tap on the window pane does the trick.Doggie had this coming.

the "Pet Corrector" (red spray can thing) works 100 times better in my case
Functions as advertised I believe, but does not work well for my young dogs. The sound this generates does not catch their attention very well. (The sound is much lower in volume and pitch is lower than I expected by the way.) On the other hand and for comparison, the "Pet Corrector" (red spray can thing) works 100 times better in my case. All I have to do is pick up the red can at this point and I have the full attention of the dogs and the cats too. At any rate, I suppose the Barker Breaker's effectiveness may vary based on the dog type or something. I can get the same effect by clapping my hands.

Its for training just to get the dogs atencion. No magic just a loud beep.
Probably we need to train with this equipment but we bought a vibration collar that does the job automaticaly. I personally I dont see it working.. its a loud beep which doesn't really impress our dog alot.
