A good bit of kit - so far.
A good system which does what it says on the tin. Mine arrived with about 50% battery on them which was good to test.Battery charging wasn’t a clear process as you don’t see it charging except on the app, until the LED comes on that is, showing fully charged. The app is useful but you have to have a subscription. Reasonable enough as it’s not too expensive although don’t start your subscription until the free trial period ends as it will all be running at the same time. The system is really easy to install and does take pretty much five minutes. It is too soon to really give an in-depth review though as it has only been operational for a few weeks.

Expensive, needs a subscription to work properly and battery life suddenly disappeared after 2 years
I've had them just over 2 years and they have all 3 suddenly not holding the charge for more than a few days, before they would last up to 3 months in, since it is all 3 it is obviously not a once off hardware issue, also I never subscribed to the monthly or yearly sign-up so the cameras didn't record and play back just sent me a notification on the app which was okay for me at the time. Would not buy again as expensive to buy and needs a subscription to see the picture and video.

Arlo make home security easy
Very good deals on home packages and it has seeing footage day and night is helpful. It was easy to set up and quality good. I have had a couple of cameras stop working but Arlo customer support arranged replacements and their customer service is very good - friendly helpful staff who know their products very well.

Arlo, are perfect! Easy to use app. Really pleased with all aspects of this product
This was our second attempt at outdoor cameras- the first were really poor quality and ended up sending them back. Replaced them with the arlo camera- this was a huge upgrade!! Cameras are great quality!

For a year, everything was fine. Batteries, max. 3 months I bought solar energy. Now the batteries last for two days and the smart notifications are dead and the cameras catch everything. Total failure and wasted money. I do not recommend. I will return all of them and get my money back

A fully featured, easy to install cctv system
So I have now replaced my first generation blink cameras with these and so far I am impressed. These run on batteries and they promise 6 months but I guess that depends on usage. They are motion activated so you can get them only to record when they need which is why they can run for so long on the rechargeable batteries. The cameras are very easy to install and they are compact enough not to ruin the aesthetics of your house decor. They can be rotated and set into position and everything is controlled through the arlo app.The quality is brilliant, crystal clear picture. The colour night vision is a bit of a gimmick, it's still night vision but uses a LED light which somewhat helps at night time and adds colour, it's really not that great but it slightly gives a better picture at night time rather than those green featureless night vision clips. The wifi didn't work for me at first I had to connect it to my 2g connection not the 5g for some reason but worked once I did that. No extra hub is needed however we do have the Arlo security light to so I purchased the hub so I can have local USB recording otherwise you will need to pay for the Arlo cloud subscription service. You get 3 months free. If you want to use all the benefits of what this camera can offer then you will probably need to buy into it or at least get the arlo hub which is more expenses but seems like most security camera manufacture charge now.The 2 way audio is a gimmick, it barely is loud enough to speak to someone on but listening in is good, it picks up noise well and filters out background noise. I like the motion detection zones, you can set it so it only focuses on certain areas, great if you have a swaying tree that keeps triggering the cameras. There is a siren too which is handy, this is quite loud and is enough to alert or scare an intruder away. With the features of wifi, a great app, the ability to view your house anywhere in the world on your phone and option of cloud storage, this makes a great cctv set that does everything you expect. It is much better quality than the previous blink system I had but time will tell if the battery lives up to its promise.

BUILD QUALITY IS GOOD - NOT IMPRESSED WITH LOWER END HD PICTURE QUALITY FOR THE PRICE
I’ve had a fair amount of experience in relation to Cctv systems. I’ve fitted 2 complete Cctv systems with NVR’s at different locations and have used all manner of different cameras, some POE wired , some BNC & Coax wired systems and a number of wired Wifi cameras connected to the systems via Onvif protocol. So I consider I have a reasonable knowledge and judgement on build and picture quality, low light performance and usability etc.So this set really piqued my interest as I really liked the idea of the compact design and the fact that they are completely wireless as opposed to the Wifi cameras I’ve used with a 12 volt wired supply.I have to say they’re extremely well presented in a nice presentation box with all components separated in blown plastic moulding. All cameras were protected by clear pvc. A very neat package, almost Applessqe.I decided to concentrate on one camera to put it through some tests.First thing I noticed there wasn’t any indication (as far as I could tell) whether it was fully charged.I plugged it into a Usb charge point, the blue indicator light blinked a few times and then went off. After a bit of time and no further indication of charge state I came to the conclusion that it was already fully charged , hence the light going off. Not ideal but at least it showed the batteries retain their charge well.I downloaded the Arlo app. Set up a user name and went through the setup process . I must say the app is very polished and was a dead easy to set up, very intuitive and a real breeze to do, so full marks there.I followed the prompts to log onto my 2.4g network. That worked without issue .Then selected the correct device from a list ( Camera/Light/Doorbells-Chime/Base Station etc.)After selecting the correct camera it generated a QR code which I showed to the camera, there was chime sound and the camera initialised, then updated the firmware. Thumbs up.After a minute the CCtv image pinged up on my phone and I was watching the live camera footage. So no issues there.I set up the camera for “animals’ I didn’t bother with the Geofencing option so can’t comment on that.I then named the camera , I set it up to watch a bird feeder so used Bird Camera. I then went through the various options on the set up.It’s simple enough to add other cameras, again just going through the same process and giving them a name.On the main camera screen there are several short cuts Device (Live)/ Library (recorded footage) /Mode (Arm/Disarm) / Settings. With the library footage you have a Calendar display to select from .Each library footage has options : Donate??! , Share , Favourite it , Download it to your camera roll or Delete. On the live feed screen there are the following indications:Battey Level/ Wifi Strength/ Motion Detection. There’s also a red Shield symbol at the top which I can press and hold to sound the siren. (I believe there is also an option to notify a friend or emergency services via this button via a subscription.) Not for me though. On the video screen you have options to: Mute speaker/Mute microphone/Record (what your viewing)/ Take a Snapshot/Turn Spotlight (on/off)The Arlo app itself has lots of settings the main ones are:Arm/disarm camera /Alter night mode/ Turn off Spotlight/ Alter video quality ( best video/Best for battery/ Optimised,/ Alter Motion Sensitivity/ Alert Zone/ Detection Type (Person, Parcel, Animal) / Speaker (on/off)/ Microphone (on/off)/ Battery Fully Charged Led (off/on) / Image brightness/ Rotate Image 180°/Mute Phone notifications (for selected period) / Device List/ Device Order/ Grant Access to friend …I didn’t like the fact that there didn’t appear to be an option on the app to initially “opt out”of the free trial until you’ve had chance to use it just “ live” for any period of time. It seemed to be 3 months free trial or back. I certainly couldn’t find any way to opt out! This seems to be a bit protectionist. It’s not so expensive about £9.99 a month I believe but it soon adds up if you’re on a tight budget. For me this just cripples the whole system. Without the subscription I can only view live footage not recordings , no bells & whistles. The only other option I have is to get a base station with Sd card or Usb stick, then I could record the footage and view it myself without any subscription. I think if I were to persist with the cameras I would consider doing that.As regards to the cameras I think the build quality of the actual camera is excellent, really neat and compact cramming in all the technology into such a small package.I don’t particularly like the bracket mounting system, I found the threaded bolt that goes in the back of the camera is too easy to turn camera body when its on so it becomes looser. The thumb turn is very small and the bracket that goes over a shaft with a collar on it need a fair amount of pressure to hold firm . I’d have much preferred a bigger thumb turn screw personally. As regards Wifi range it stood up very well , It must be at least 15 metres from the router and the signal is around half. I have not experienced any signal dropouts and the Bird notifications have been coming through regularly during the day. From the “live” screen I tested the mic , speaker, spotlight and siren using the icons. The microphone pick-up was clear enough and had decent enough clarity.I tested the speaker with “can you leave the parcel there please” it was loud and clear, again decent enough. The alarm, test was fine plenty loud and shrill enough for me to frighten anyone away. It has two alternating tones.Spot light was plenty bright enough and I could adjust the brightness level from the ‘Live” screen. It doesn’t have very good throw I would definitely need a secondary light to supplement it see a lot further. But it is a useful deterrent. The night vision worked ok clear enough as only in black/white/greyscale basically. The app can be a little laggy at times but overall it’s pretty good.I’ve now had the camera going for a few weeks so I can give my honest opinion.Battery life appears pretty good I must say. I’ve had it on “Best video “ quality and its only gone down to 40% , albeit to be fair it’s not that busy an area where motion activation would be activated constantly such as a drive way near a road etc. I have also turned the sensitivity down to 8 as the nearby leaves kept triggering the alerts. There is lots of adjustments to negate false activations (such as leaves moving) in the app and it did really cut down the false activation to only birds in my selected “alert zone.” So that did work very well. However I’m not at all impressed with the picture quality, for High Def it is definitely at the lower end of HD quality, it’s poor .For the asking price of these cameras I was expecting much more of a pin sharp top end HD image that jumped out at me.The images are unclear, smudgy , lifeless and seemed very muted even in the sunlight. When I pinched to zoom it became very pixelated at just zooming slightly. I’m very surprised. They’re nowhere near as good as a £28 wifi mains powered HD camera I purchased from Amazon. Really disappointing. At first I thought it might be a software issue or the bandwidth from the server or my phone . However I have viewed footage clips in all different situations and downloaded the footage via the app and viewed them on my iMac… The images are still poor.I tested the camera to read a car number plate at distance 9 metres just about readable when zoomed but pixelated @ 12 metres unreadable @ 14 metres just a complete blur unreadable To read a number plate at any distance these are poor to useless. As for as trying to identify a face anymore than 8 metres it struggles as the image is just smudgy.I appreciate a lot of development has gone into producing cameras that don’t need to be wired and can basically be installed anywhere and stream images to my phone, but so can others that are cheaper and have Sd cards built-in..It doesn’t alter the fact that with the initial outlay plus being tied into a subscription to get all the “bells & whistles” I would expect far better video quality at this price point. .So in summary:I think these are very overpriced cameras when I factor in the subscription I get a very lower end HD picture quality which I don’t think will be able to help recognise anyone from a reasonable distance and certainly not a car number plate especially for Police investigation purposes should I be unlucky enough to require them.I cant fault the build quality, battery life seems decent, Wifi range is very good, speaker and mic all acceptable and App works really well albeit a little laggy at times but generally is good .The concept is good but the execution in terms of video quality is very poor. A real shame.I would have given them 2 stars but in terms of build quality they get an extra star.I definitely would not recommend them, sorry

Horrible experience Not working No support
Very poor cameras which we were unable to connect. Multiple software issues. The worst - no support to help you. We only spent lots of money and time on installation and then removing the cameras.Don't buy!

produit moyen

Horrible after sales services - not honest
None of the cameras connected - Arlo is doing everything possible after 6 weeks of complaints not to provide a replacement - I bought in the past 12 other cameras working on the same network and these cameras are clearly not working - despite this - nothing but technical services emails ending nowhere - avoid this company - it is disgraceful

Attention
