Easy to use and great web radio
I purchased this Aluratek so that I can listen to my favorite music and News without the nose of the radio. This product has worked great. I was able to install Pandora and Tunein radio to get the music and stations that I wanted. The sound is very good. It was also easy to configure to my Wifi.

Disappointing device and company
This device was disappointing from the beginning. The sound was horrible. It might've been good for an 8yo with limited expectations. The interface was hit or miss. Only wanted it for streaming music constantly in one room so didn't bother to return it.Just over 2 years later, it couldn't connect to the internet. Shut it off to try to reset, won't turn on. Only flashes Aluratek every few seconds. Tried reset button on bottom without luck. Spoke with the company and was told the device is dead. There are no options to reset or fix it. Said the system was probably corrupted. Didn't offer any other suggestions or options. Total junk. I won't buy any other Aluratek devices.

you will HAVE TO work on making it the way you like but - ONCE there it will be like no other set up just the way you like
ok !so here is the scoop! i own aluratech AIRMM01 radio (had it for over10Y still works and i still love it ( based on shoutcast/icecast)i unpack this radio and say where the hell is my Russian / Ppolish and all over the world radio (no shoutcast or icecastt) just this weird music app launcher!radio looks like someone slapped to speakers on an end of old cell phone running android 4.4!enough of first impressions.Aluratech deserves a honest review after over 10 of operation on old model (still kicking strong)1. this radio feels cheaply made2. it's a small outdated android device with speakers attached (speaker grills are cumming lose from plastic case and i never pried)3. once in google play i installed nova app launcher and replaced what the radio came with4. installed different weather app several international music apps removed few preinstalled apps and added daydreamer appnow the radio looks attractive - i like what it does now! the sound is delicate but clear (i can't hear the woofer but i'd probably miss it if it wasn't there) i hope this unit last as long as the old one (i wasn't any cheaper). is a nice unit with storage option build in battery PC connectivity and audio out for headphones (i'm sure it can do a receiver out of the headphone jack with 1/8 inch to RCA cable)the one con i don't like is that it will play several audio streams at once and you have to go to notifications to stop the app from playing (it should just play the most recent stream but this is likely the android's fault.this is a device that will probably never update past the preinstalled droid 4.4 (to BAD) as the outdated OS them will render the device useless way before the end of it's useful life (the apps will simply stop being supported) unit is not heavy so i'm not expecting wonders on battery life (hevier means more capacity in battery language)HOLD HOME BUTTON TO GET TO APP STORE AND REPLACE THE VERY LIMITED LOUNCHER!!!!!!

Wonderful sound but no instructions on how to use.
My old Aluratek's operating system no longer supported current standards so I needed to buy a new one. The old one was great. This new one is fine but with some problems. I have had it for 4 months.- Turning it off/on is no longer the push of a button. You must hold down the power button for 6 seconds, go through a series of Aluratek screens, choose your streaming service, then chose your channel. Turning off is simpler but still a 2 step process.- My main complaint is lack of instructions of any sort. The instructions on the box are about it. I have contacted Aluratek through their website but they do not respond. I would like to use the alarms and voice activation but haven't a clue of how to do it.- Tech support was very helpful in getting it set up. Once they walked me through connecting to the household wi-fi they choose TuneIn and showed me how to connect to the radio stations I wanted. Very good support.- The sound quality is much better than my old Aluratek. My solution to the off/on problem has been to get Alexa. I will use this radio outside on the deck. It has a built-in battery so it can be moved around and the sound is strong. All told, I would probably not buy it again but I'm satisfied enough with how it works. All I wanted was some background music and news. This it does quite well.

Not Really An "Internet Radio"
Disappointing. Instead of being labeled an "Internet Radio" this would more be accurately described as a radio that uses the Internet. It is essentially an Android touch screen phone that doesn't work as a phone. The shell leaves a lot to be desired. If the station you want to listen to is on iHeart Radio, TuneIn Radio, Pandora, XM, and a few others you can listen to. But if you want to listen to any of the other 40,000 Internet stations (such as those available via Reciva) you are out of luck. Due to a flaw in the way the shell sets up social media I was able to load Google Play and load an Android app that can play Internet stations. But there's no way to get to it (or anything else not on their list) without a hack every single time. Other reviews bemoan the lack of a "wake to music" setting. They are correct but that didn't bother me. I will probably reset this to factory specs and send it back for a refund. It is a stretch to call this an "Internet Radio" since it can't easily receive the vast majority of Internet stations. Also: the touch screen didn't work out of the box. Out of frustration I gave it a smack and it started working. Hows that for quality control? I am not optimistic that this product will last.

Beware of this product. It is not really a radio.
On a radio, you choose your station and play it. This is not a radio. You choose your station and spend time downloading it. But once it is downloaded, your choose what to play, and you have to download that as well. You spend all your time downloading.I once had the Aluratek Jukebox, which looked like a memory key. With it you could access stations all over the world on your computer and play your selection on your computer, THAT was more like a radio. But it would not work in Windows 10.Beware of this so called "Internet Radio".

Aluratek wifi raido with touch screen
Nice radio, sound quality is good for its size. Like the extra features like weather, alarm clock, calendar and I was able to connect to my prime music account. All radios should have touch screen settings.
