I use these as usb controllers for many button box projects.

I purchased these as an alternative to some other older micros i had that did not have the micro usb connector on them; thinking this would speed ip my assembly process. I was incorrect on this idea. I bought a pack of 5. Tested and started building with a few of them. Attached a reset button to one I was going to flash and after plugging in the cable, the connector broke clean off the board. Being careful that these are tiny bits, this shouldn't happen the first few times the cable is connected. I could understand this happening with rough use or many connect/disconnects but in this case we are talking 3 times a cable was plugged in to this board, and on the third time it was a clean break.Solder on the pads isnt there for all 4 legs off the connector and only one ground pad was soldered.I cannot recommend these to anyone else for that alone.To top it off, 2 of the 5 boards i ordered came DOA; one corrupted and not able to be flashed at all, and the other with an internal short to a ground pin.Seriously dont order these; theyre not what they appear to be and are of very very poor quality.

I found some ready software for a specific application and I just had to load the file and wire a few pins. works just fine.

I got six of these to use as joystick encoder boards for various arcade projects. They're inexpensive and work as expected. The USB port is fragile, as others have stated. But, if you tack the port with some extra solder and be gentle when inserting and removing your cable, you should have no problems. I would definitely buy these again.

It's a 5-pack of the typical Pro Micro knockoff. At the time, the cheapest available. They work just as well as all others I've had. If you need Pro Micros, this is a good choice.
