FCS 1335519L Complete Strut Assembly, Black

I got these to go on a Honda CR-V with nearly 300,000 miles. They were only $15 more expensive than just the struts, so getting new springs, mounts and a strut was a no-brainer to go with these units. The swap out for both front struts took less than 30 minutes (I'm a tech of 20 years). Granted the vehicle has a lot of miles, but everything up front is reasonably tight so the ride quality on these was a bit of a surprise. The amount of float this vehicle has going down the highway isn't nearly as bad with the 300,000 mile OE struts, but I felt it was excessive and could have been tighter. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe they're noisy ... This is not my vehicle and I only drive it when it needs repair, so I could be wrong. My 3 stars though is from the mere bounciness/float of the vehicle. With new springs AND struts I expected more control, but the owner is happy so maybe that's all that matters. For a cheap quick fix and not having to fool with compressing a spring I guess it's worth the money. For my own personal vehicle though with my driving style, I'd probably get something different.

My old shocks and struts were the original on my 1997 CRV so i figured it was time for a change. I was able to swap these out in about 45 min due to a couple stubborn bolts. It’s been about 4 months and I’ve been happy with the stiffness and handling. They’ve also held up so far to NW weather. I’d buy again.

I installed these 3 months ago on a '99 CRV with 130k. The instillation was quick and painless, and initially the ride was not bad, much better than my original oem's. However 3 months late the springs have completely settled and the front end is now riding almost 2 inches lower than it should be. The springs can't hold up the front end. This is making my ride dangerous as I live in the northeast and potholes are everywhere and every time I hit one it sounds like the struts are bottoming out not to mention the stress it is placing on the rest of my suspension. I will be replacing all of my FCS struts with a more expensive brand. I realize I did not spend a lot of money on these to begin with but they should have lasted longer than about 90 days.

great product, installed easily and fit right. the only slight problem was aligning the yoke up with groove cut in shaft.

I am a big fan of this strut assembly. My wife's CRV needed the struts replaced, but I lack the facilities and mechanical ability to pull the spring safely. Rather than trying to unsafely get the spring off or paying someone else to do it, I bought this and the right assembly. A few minutes per side was all it took to replace these. Honestly, I think it took longer to get out the jack and tools and then put them away afterwards than it did to swap out both sides. It was amazingly easy.
